Sounds awesome. I'll buy about anything for a 1/72 F-5 that I don't already have in some form. How about Ethiopia or Botswana ... or for the E/F, Bahrain, Kenya, Saudi Arabia, or Yemen? As an aside, I believe those NMF schemes are actually aluminum lacquer.

I spent a couple years on Osan. The OA-37s looked like a little Volkswagen Beetle on the runway, but were surprisingly loud.

Thanks Bruce, I had a look. If they'd included a replacement for the kit's wretched exhaust nozzles I would have been tempted. Anyway, I'll be leaving the so-called canopy closed, so there's certainly no need to detail the cockpit. I'll fix the shroud and shove in some Aeroclub seats, but even that is probably overkill. Had the Arrow gone into production, I assume that pilots would have lobbied for canopies they could actually see out of.

The Arrow had a row of streamlined bumps under each wing, to cover the aileron actuators. HobbyCraft thought they'd look nicer on top.

My record in group builds is not good. If I have until June, though, I might just get this one together. This kit was apparently designed by a number of different people who didn't like each other very much. Carcass stuck together and smoothed out, wingtips sawn off and switched, splitter plates given sheet-plastic backs.

A gym membership, which I am still using several years later. I wouldn't say that I am now "in shape," but it's kept me from becoming a 400 lb. mass of blubber.

If anybody's going to buy this and not use the RAF portion of the decals, I'll pay a reasonable amount for it. Looks much nicer than the decals in the original issue.

I'll stick with the original, thanks. You couldn't pay me enough to watch anything which featured Rutledge Wood (the hooting idiot with the beard). I routinely fast-forward through his "contributions" to NASCAR-related shows. Enthusiasm is no substitute for actually having something interesting to say.

I have the Revell 1/24 kit, and now that I've bought Marlboro decals for those big white spaces, I just might build the thing. Looking forward to seeing your project.

I ended up using only the Nancy numbers, 'Air America' scripts, and rotor warning stripes. The American flags and bilingual rotor warnings were far too large. Ooops! Edited to mention that 1/72 is the only scale I'm interested in. I kind of forget that there are other scales . . . .

In 1/72: Fairey Hendon Boeing YB-9 Ford Trimotor P-35 and P-35A Y1B-17, or a good conversion kit. XF4U-1, or a good conversion kit. MPM did the XP-47H, so why not? F4U-5, AU-1, F4U-7: unless I'm mistaken, the Italeris don't have the elongated nose. FM-2 and if you'll forgive some jets: AMX Q-5 Fantan F4H-1 . . . or a good conversion kit, including decals. That would be a nice start . . . . .

I need a pair of cylindrical 19-shot 2.75" rocket launchers to hang on my Salvadoran Ouragan. Extensive research (five minutes on the 'net) leads me to believe these would be the M200 model used on the UH-1C, AH-1G, or AH-56, and not the later M261 used on AH-64s, AH-1Fs, and other modern types. So . . . anybody built a 1/72 UH-1C or AH-1G, and didn't use the rocket launchers . . . I can use them. thanks. Randy, in the US
