  1. Hi Juan, Could you please tell me if this kit: Hasegawa F-14A (Kit P18) with Dream Model Colored photo etched set and Wheeliant F-14A Tomcat weighted wheels $40.00 comes with the NACA style vents? If so, I'd be extremely interested. Thanks.
  2. Were there any D models based out of Atsugi? The Black Knights were all As I believe...
  3. Absolutely great news!!! I've been patiently waiting for a new version from Tamiya and the -D one is the one I wanted. I was never going to buy the AMK Tomcat because I had a feeling Tamiya wouldn't pass up a huge opportunity to do other variants of their incredible F-14 but I do wish AMK great success if they continue with their Tomcat project.
  4. Hello everyone, I'm looking for some spare parts for my 1/48 Hasegawa F-14 Tomcat. Namely, I'm looking for these: - Left side forward fuselage - NACA style vents I'm more than willing to pay a very fair price for these as I really need them to move forward with my project. If you can help, please PM me here or email me at [scalemodeling1210@gmail.com] Attached is a pic of the parts I'm looking for:
  5. In my humble opinion, those who buy Tamiya products ARE in the "clever consumer" category
  6. Here's a pic of the jet in question. You can't see the walkways but....
  7. Exactly!! These two examples clearly demonstrate why, features aside, the Tamiya Tomcat will remain the BEST Tomcat out there in terms of quality. It's simple, really...Given the choice of F-14Ds between AMK and Tamiya people WILL go with Tamiya most of the time...regardless of the features AMK may come up with. My opinion only, of course.
  8. Well...I have both releases of the AMK MiG-31 and neither beats Tamiya on surface detail, sorry. Again, I'm NOT saying that AMK may not produce a very nice Tomcat. It just won't be a Tamiya "quality" Tomcat. Features aside, AMK simply won't produce what Tamiya has produced. Perhaps one day,
  9. I know it won't be. It will have more features and will probably fit okay but it won't be the Tamiya Tomcat. In the area of surface rendition alone I already know the Tamiya Tomcat is ahead. That's not to say that the AMK Tomcat won't be nice. Just not as nice as the Tamiya Tomcat.
  10. Those wings do look pretty good and would complement the Tamiya Tomcat nicely.
  11. PM sent re. Hasegawa F/A-18D with Attack Squadron RU-33/55 Canted Vertical Ejector Rack ...$50
  12. Hey all, I'm really looking for this if anyone has one. I really want to continue rescribing my Monogram F-100 so if you could spare this, I'd love to take it off your hands. I'm willing to pay more than reasonably for it. Please PM me if you can help. Here's what it looks like just in case. Thanks!
  13. Hi all, Here's what I need (inside red circles) If you can help, please PM me and let me know how much you want for your spare parts. More than willing to pay what is required. Thanks very much!
  14. Email sent re 1/32 Tamiya F-14A (Black Knights) with Teknics F-14B Tomcat/Bombcat conversion and cockpit superset. Thanks!
  15. I seem to have screwed the pooch on my current A-4 build by trying to add that awful Aires pit and would like to know if someone has spares for both fuselages and the cockpit tub from the 1/48 Hasegawa A-4E/F kit. I had my mind set on finishing this kit so if you can spare those parts I'll be more than happy to compensate you for them. Thanks much!
  16. More knowledge as in how? There's not much to know really...You open the jar, wait for the bubbles to dissipate and then dip the clear part in slowly - making sure no bubbles form on the part as you take it out. Put on some kitchen towel and let excess flow away. Repeat steps if necessary... but, unlike with Future where you can just clean the part with some Windex and wipe it off clean, this stuff is sticky as heck and may not want to come all off. It left my piece cloudy. Had to use Gunze's Leveling thinner to get to look passable again. It simply isn't a good product.
  17. I've used Gauzy and I have to say I don't like it. It's not better than future. In fact, I think future leaves the clear parts more transparent than this stuff. It's also harder to get it leveled. You have to dip very slowly so bubbles don't form. And for what you get in that small Gauzy container, better to use Future since you get a lot more. One more thing...with Future, if you screw up, some Windex removes the whole thing. With Gauzy, it takes a lot longer to remove. I've left one part over night and it still had a thick coating of it. It looked like it never really cam
  18. Does anyone have a set of the 1/48 Two Mikes F-14 seamless intakes inserts for the Hase kit? Really, really need one... Thanks!
  19. Thanks for the replies gents! Thinking now I should have gone with the Black Box set. Purchased the Aires cockpit and the various Wolfpack sets instead.
