  1. Why Israel is dragged in to the story? vit
  2. Thanks for your answer But I don’t think its FS36118; you can see the Gunship Grey on the LEX. The color that I need is less “blueis†and more to the gray family. Maybe euro1 but there must be a definitive answer. I see lots of old Pics that shows it was part of the standard scheme. gidi
  3. Good day to all AV-8 experts out there I am currently building bird no 165354; it has the lips of the air inlets and pylons leading edge painted in a sort of protective darker color. Need help with the color's FS no. Thanks for the help! Gidi

  6. This is my hasegawa F/A-18E of VFA-31. The ECS pipes are scratch made, also are the GBU38 and the maverick Launcher. The decals are two bobs but the decal has no logo for the fuel tanks, so rannan from Israedecal was kind to print them for me. The canopy detail was casted from the ravell kit by another good friend Nisim. The colors are mostly Humbrol and Tamiya. Pastels and oil was used for weathering. Thanks for looking Gidi
  7. Wanting a fast and cheap solution for the Revell F/A-18E/F , I came with a simple paper trunk extension for the kit. Truth - not the cutting age perfection but is cost's nothing!!! - I have 5 kits. :D All it takes is a 5 cm extension with white paper and it looks very good. You must keep it smooth from the inside. Ones the upper and lower parts are closed the dept impact is very good. Gidi
  8. Hi to all This is the Italeri F-14A hi vis boxing Most of the fit is good but the detail is soft in some areas. The canopy is wrong in shape so it was replace with one from monogram, The wheels and wing pylons are all monogram. The kit has no ladder so one was taken from monogram and I scratch build the hosing and two steps. All of the monogram parts were found in the importer junkyard! Most of the decals are from the kit but the ones for the missiles are all wrong! Seats are leftover from hasegawa. Humbrol and Tamiya colors . Gidi
  9. Some progress after along time. The kit's fit is good but it has some shape issues. The first and issue to fix was the nose shape. It is too boxy so I shaped it to look more like an A10. The cross section is a problem to but noting can be done. The green is monogram – you can see the difference! The main landing gear bays are all wrong. There is a wall that should not exist at all and openings that I must close! The chaff/ flare boxes in the kit are wrong in size and shape, so the mono kit part was inserted. I also decided to detail the bays in a way I call –" the busy affec
  10. Good day to all As an A-10 enthusiast I rushed and got my self the new Italeri kit. I build few mono kits before and had one spear that will be the so call detail kit for the Italeri offering. One thing that I hate the most is a see through model and this kit is full of them. The engines pods opening from the inside was closed with plastic and putty inside and the solution for the see through pods was to close the opening with the kits fun blades. The front was taken from the mono kit with an addition of a 3mm depth adding to the inside ring for some extra scale look – the looked to
  11. This must be said! None of the cockpit is Isracast. There parts are spot on but I did not have them Just plain scratch built and I need to make the anti glare cover. it will look good I think Gidi
  12. So how is the kit? I started it few months ago and still did not find the time to finish it. As you see it is going to be an Israeli bird with the excellent Isracast conversion. The Isracast conv is intended for Hasegawa and it takes some work to fit it to this kit. The kits cockpit's side consoles are is wrong and the new front panels are bad! The anti glare cover in the front is wrong to. The fit is bad - the new parts don’t Fit very well, Lots of putty all over. The pylons are wrong and need some conversion to the D shape BUT Most of the new parts are very good in detail so if you
