  1. this is the old matchbox bristol beaufighter tfx its just been released over here
  2. i just checked out the airfix web site and they have the PR9 listed in 1/72 also they have the box art which is different to the 1/48th kit ,whilst the B(1) 8 is still a line drawing box art at this time .
  3. re the airfix valient the test shot wing was given to a certain uk decal maker along with test shot parts for the 1/48th sea vixen by none other than trevor snowdon ! now all this could be a load of bull only time will tell .but airfix were going to the valient before they went **** up a couple of years ago .
  4. over on the airfix web site they have a list of new tooled kits for 2009 ALL THESE ARE 1/72 Mig 15 hawks (we knew about these from last year ) FRS 1 SEA HARRIER FA2 SEA HARRIER ( BOTH these are new tools the fa2 is not the xtra kit re boxed and will have weapons ) for the prop guys there is a new hurricane .109g ,and two new spitfires a MK 9c and a PR19 A COUPLE OF OMMISSIONS the carnberries are not on the list but then again the valient is not on there either the latter is due out 2010 ,but some one i know has seen the test shot of the wings for 1/48th they list a sea vix
  5. my old dad always used to laugh at the pristine invasion stripes presented in kits ,he worked on a MU during the war and can remember the strips being painted on with a yard brush and a plume line this he saw on mossies, mustangs ,spits and beua's .once they had just fineshed painting stripes on typhoons when they got the order to remove all but the lower wing stripes
  6. not all E2C 's with multi bladed props have the square fitting underneath i have seen a couple of pics of them with out it
  7. hi it looks like theres a cut in the lower fuslarge could this be for the E2c 2000 I belive some of them have a square thingy majig underneath but i could be wrong
  8. hi again sorry made a big boo boo the humbrol light gull grey is 129 not 140 as i origionally stated 140 is dark gull grey neil
  9. hi there i belive that 315 is the gunze call out for light gull grey which in the humbrol range is 140 , i have used this humbrol paint and is a good match for light gull grey neil
  10. hi there i have a double of the superscale sheet no 72,439 ,i would be happy to let you have ,this sheet has VF142 ,VF74 and VF211 all in low viz , neil
  11. hi i have had the same sort of nightmares with trying to fit there 1/72 AV8B cockpit to the hasegawa kit ,in the end i wish i had not started and just used the seat supplied ,but perserverd and got it to fit after a fashion in the NEVER AGAIN .
  12. hi i know this is not going to help you much but , my cousin flew jaguars for the air force of oman in the 80's before that he flew there strikemasters and hunters ,he started in the RAF flying lightnings . he died in 1986 in an accident whilst flying a jaguar in a mock dogfight with another jag his aircraft flew into a mountain
  13. hi got my B52 STUFF AND MY G WAS MINUS THE WING TANKS +ON MY UPDATE SET ONE OF THE CHEEK BULGES WAS MISSING OFF THE SPRUE I EMAILED METEOR BUT I HAVE HAD NO REPLY
