  1. Hi all, Last month I managed to spend an afternoon at the USAF Barry M Goldwater range in Arizona. Although I didn't get the amount of traffic that was scheduled, I did get two A-10C's from the 47th FS 'Dogpatchers' conducting strafing runs plus a show of force over the tower at the end. I have the Academy 1/48th scale A-10C in the stash and I'd love to have it in 47th FS markings. I can't find any vendor producing decals apart from a Japanese company called Platz which re-boxes Italeri A-10C with new decals. Does anybody know I can obtain this set or does anybody know of a vendor
  2. I've got a bundle of 1/48th decals for US Navy F-14 and F/A-18 jets. There are some super rare out of print ones e.g. the Two Bobs VF-2 Bounty Hunters and the VF Decals VF-101 Grim Reapers. In total there's 12 sheets which have been kept in their original packaging. I'd like to sell them as one bunch so I'm only asking £55 posted for all 12. If they don't sell, then I'd consider splitting them. Neil. 3. A passion of mine is researching and collecting items from IX Troop Carrier Command who flew USAAF C-47's during WWII in Europe. They were the ones who began D-Day by flying into Normandy to drop paratroopers of the 82nd and 101st Airborne divisions. Remains of the airfields that they were stationed are still visible if you look hard enough. So just over a year ago, I began a Facebook page as a means to share information and photographs about them. If you're interested in warbirds and WWII come and have a look. Hopefully you'll like what you see and 'like' the page. https://www.facebook.co
  4. I'm after this particular set of decals which possibly came from the Revell boxing of the Monogram 1/48 C-47 Skytrain kit. I'm after them since this is the only decal set I can find out there for Membury Airfield based Troop Carrier C-47's. The airfield is only 20 minutes away from me. Thanks, Neil.

  7. This years Abingdon Airshow was always going to be a very important time for me after Neil Porter had announced that C-47 Drag 'em oot was going to display. After getting permission from Neil and C-47 owner Paddy Green, I went on a search for a Yak-52 owner who'd be willing to fly me for an air to air shoot with the C-47 on its departure from Abingdon. The saviour came in the form of an Aussie named Colin Short who partly owns G-YAKI and readily agreed to fly me. The night before the show was also an opportunity too good to miss when I delivered the jeep. Anyway, C-47 Drag 'em oot 42-100882

  12. It went pretty quiet during the summer months with SPTA being pretty dead but I did manage to squeeze in a visit to Lithuania. The rest of the year was pretty quiet with only one visit to the Loop and a few to the SPTA. 14. Looking back at 2010, I had a pretty good year with quite a bit of mileage being done. The year started with Hip hunting over on the Salisbury Plain which resulted in snapping some other choppers as well. In March I went to Moody AFB to photograph the Flying Tigers.
