  1. I love the fact that new 1/48 subjects are popping up regularly. What's nice is that many of them are some of my longtime favorites, like the F-94C, Tu-2 and Jaguar. But... doesn't it seem weird that no one is doing a new MiG-25 in 1/48? I remember back in the 70s when the Foxbat was the be-all and end-all of Soviet bad-assness, and what a coup we thought it was when Belenko defected with one. The interceptor versions are great, but the Rxx and BM versions look even cooler (to my eye, anyway) and afford a lot more paint schemes. Why no Foxbats? Or am I mistaken? Is there one in the wo
  2. I turned up this beautiful model of another 437th aircraft in 1/72: http://www.modellversium.de/galerie/8-flugzeuge-modern/3001-lockheed-f-94c-starfire-emhar.html He used Skylancer Decals.
  3. Looking for any photos or artwork depicting the F-94C "Chappie's Chariot" flown by Chappie James, 437th FIS. I have three photos so far. The lead plane in this photo: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:437th_Fighter-Interceptor_Squadron_F-94s_over_Cape_Cod_1953.jpg (Hope I'm interpreting the photo link guidelines correctly.) There are two other photos I've found, both from the Peterson AFB Museum web page: http://www.petemuseum.org/F94CarchivePhotos.html Looks like the fuse stripes are green, and the tank stripes are probably green too, but can't tell about the rudder. Would like t
  4. I see some magazines I'd like to buy on the Aviapress website, but their prices and shipping are pretty high. Just wondering, is there a good US source of Russian aviation mags, particularly "AviaKollektsia"? Nothing against Aviapress, they have stuff I don't see anywhere else and I'll order from them if necessary... just thought I'd check for a more convenient source. Thanks

I pre-ordered from you and put Fedex Ground... but it sounds like you will contact me before shipping, so I have a chance to evaluate on shipping cost and delivery date? That would be nice. Wow, I can't wait. And if any decal mfrs are reading this... would love to see Chappie James' aircraft, "Chappie's Chariot"! But the two box schemes are excellent choices, and I can see the logic of using schemes from aircraft that still exist. :) Makes research a heck of a lot easier.
  6. To anyone looking to do decals for this plane, please consider "Chappie's Chariot" flown by Daniel "Chappie" James Jr. The first African-American 4-star, flew with Robin Olds in Vietnam ("Blackman and Robin"). From the three photos I've managed to track down, a very nice-looking scheme. There are two photos from the Peterson AFB museum website, http://www.petemuseum.org/F94CarchivePhotos.html, and another at http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:437th_Fighter-Interceptor_Squadron_F-94s_over_Cape_Cod_1953.jpg. Note sure if those Pete photos show the actual a/c, or a display painted after th
