  1. Thanks guys. An alternative for me is to see about back-converting the Airfix NF XIX to the NF XII or NF XIII, both of which were used by 307 Sqn in 1944. Michael
  2. I have bought the 1/72 Airfix Mosquito NF XIX but need to build it up as a NF 30. According to http://www.mossie.org/Mosquito_var.htm , the NF.30 was ... "developed from the NF.XIX with high altitude Merlin 72, 76 and 113 engines." Looking at http://www.rafweb.org/SqnMark500-510.htm (scroll down to the Mossies), the two appear externally the same (or maybe the RAF web illustrator didn't bother to elaborate minor differences). Looks a beaut with D-Day stripes, sky band at rear of fuselage, yellow wing leading edges, white nose and spinner). Am now adding undercarriage doors. The inner ones are the problem. I've looked at umpteen photos of Mustangs on the ground; the inner u/c doors are either completely closed (!) or open at a 35 degree angle from the horizontal, or at a 2-3 degree angle (ie ajar). Or hanging perpendicularly down, as per the instruction sheet (a
