  1. I believe the paint on the F-22, F-35, and the F-16s with the Have Glass color scheme has an additive in it to appear to blend in with the sky in various angles to the sunl. Steve Sliger Greenwell Springs, LA
  2. I had run across a Lockheed Martin mention on their website 4 or 5 years ago that they had developed a new coating system to eliminate a large number of the RAM Panel tapes which increased production due to less man hours apply the RAM panel tape. I will have to go dig thru my Meng F-35 Kit box to find the printed out copy of the article. I will check late next week once I get home from work. Steve Sliger Greenwell Springs, LA

  4. By chance any markings for the USAF CH-3E "Black Mariah" in 1/72? I know it is a boring flat black bird with a few stencils in yellow and the tail number in red. I had the fortunate opportunity to talk to a docent that flew that aircraft today at the Museum of the USAF at Wright Patterson AFB. Very interesting chat we had. He also showed me a cross section of the main rotor blade of the aircraft as we traded war stories. He even went on to fly the SR-71 before retiring. I may can get you the pictures of the stencils & tail number if you need them. Steve Sliger
  5. No problem and I do see your point as I once thought the “Sugar Scoops” exhaust was in the other 2 kits as they are in kit 07414 (AH-64E Apache Guardian). I had just learned of the BAM Models conversion set when I first read this post and googled. You are right if you want to do it all up right with those add ons. I have the Hasegawa kit 07414 so I am not looking to add on. I bought the kit shortly after I saw 2 of the full scale aircraft stop for fuel at the airport I fly out of. I was an Army Aviator back in the 80’s and flew Cobras and Kiowa. The unit I was in was the first chosen t
  6. Don't need to compare the Hasegawa Sprues as the original poster purchased an aftermarket detail set, BAM Models ASPI exhausts set, which will provide the necessary parts for him to build any updated AH-64D or US AH-64E model using the Hasegawa "Korean Army" boxing of the Apache. I Understand that he wants to build the AH-64E Guardian. https://bam-models.com/product/1-48-ah-64d-e-aspi-sugar-scoop-exhausts/ This is written by BAM on the website above: Using Hasegawa’s “Korean Army AH-64E” boxing and this set you can build any updated AH-64D or US AH-64E
  7. Right from the BAM Models listing of this conversion set: Using Hasegawa’s “Korean Army AH-64E” boxing and this set you can build any updated AH-64D or US AH-64E Others may know more. Hope this helps, Steve Sliger Greenwell Springs, LA

  19. Hi Guys, Does anybody that has built this kit have the instructions they would like to part with? I know I can download them from the Scalemates but I would like a printed copy since the instructions I printed off Scalemates will not print to fit the page which results in the printed page either cut off the at the bottom or the left side of the page is cut off. Any help appreciated, Steve Sliger Greenwell Springs, LA
  20. I saw on a Kitlinx email newsletter (Jan 28, 2022) they listed the Valom 1/72 Curtiss C-46A Commando "The Hump USAAF" listed for $126.85. My question is and I have no experience with this manufacturer, this seems a bit much. I Know its new so I have to give it the benefit of the doubt as to what is in the box to justify the cost other then its a new tool kit and that maybe the reason plus cost of production. Anybody know more as to what is in the box? Steve Sliger Greenwell Springs, LA
