  1. Try: "Boeing B-47 Stratojet: True Stories of the Cold War in the Air" edited by Mark Natola. Published by Schiffer Military. I found it an awsome read. Alex
  2. If you're interested in all of DeHavilland's Beaver, you may wish to have a look here: http://www.dhc-2.com/ I hope this helps. Alex
  3. How about a 1/72nd scale release of the ATR-42 and/or the EMB-145 or an ACCURATE DHC-8 (I know we'll never see it). These would satisfy those of us that build airliners and those of us that like build military subjects as well. I just can't get excited anymore to see another F-16 or Me109 version whatever by Tamihasetrumpeter or whomever..... sorry for the whining. Oh yeah, a 1/48th scale Twin Otter would be awsome too. Alex
  4. Hello Everyone, Has anyone back dated the Academy 1/72nd Hornet yet to a an F/A-18A or more specifically CF-18? Just curious if there are any pit-falls we need to know about. Thanks for your input. Alex
  5. Great work on a difficult kit. I wish somebody would release a high quality accurate representation of the a/c... I would love to see both 1/72nd and 1/48th scale. I know wishful thinking. Alex
  6. I hope this works... I never posted a picture before. But I just finished artwork for "CFJ"
  7. Mark, Flying Colors did those decals in 1/144th scale somewhere around eight to ten years ago.... long since out of print.
  8. Hi Everyone, I'm thinking of drawing up some decals for this Dash 8: http://www.airliners.net/photo/Transport-C...nada/1347902/L/ Does anyone have any reference material showing the topside of the a/c? I'm curious if the white under-wing panels are also on top of the wing. Also any ideas what all the probes may be... I see the FLIR pod, but what's the other stuff... SLAR? Mad Boom?... ideas? I've googled this through and through. Thanks for any input. Alex (moderators: I'm not sure if I should post this here or in another sub-forum being that it's not entirely a civil subject)
  9. Try this link as well: http://www.drawdecal.com/airbus/a330200conversion.pdf Good luck.
  10. I voted 'I build them all'. I prefer 1/200 scale modern airliners. I love my classic airliners (props and jets) in /144th scale. When I build bush and regional airplanes, my scale is 1/72nd scale... I super detail and scratch build.
  11. I'm beginning to turn blue as I hold my breath for Tamiya to release an F-16 in 1/72.
  12. Hey Len, I just checked my email... I'm really bad... ...as usual, behind on my BlueBooks and always a Jepp revision behind.... I still want to get up to Gryfon Hobbies in the near future. I had a blast flying with you as well. Alex
  13. I agree... We need one now that Viking Aircraft is begining to build the a/c again.
  14. I don't miss those days....
  15. A suitable substiute paint is Model Master Canadian Voodoo Grey. Works also for Boeing 707 grey. I hope this helps.
  16. Liveries Unlimited did 1/200 scale DC-10 decals around 1995 or so. If I remember correct, Jennings had only 500 sheets printed, so they're hard to find now. He did the 727, A300/310 and DC-10 in both 1/144 and 1/200 scale.
  17. Kori Kit I believe makes a 1/72nd scale vacuform model of the Saab 340. I don't know how to get hold of it however.
  18. Hi, I'm looking to make my Doyusha 1/144 scale F-27 into a Golden Knights aircraft. My question is, what color is the dark color the you see on the belly, wings and tail? Is it gloss dark olive of past or is it something else? Thanks
  19. With a bit of kit mingling I'd like to make this hangar queen: http://www.airliners.net/open.file/0494513/L/
  20. That reminds me of a joke.... A woman calls the police to report a naked pilot was in her driveway stealing her newspaper. The officer asks, "How do you know he's a pilot? Maam." She responds, "He's wearing a big watch and he has a little *****."
  21. Wow, I'm impressed with the crew meal... real china... real untensils... We're lucky if we get a spork with our crew meal's.
  22. Hi, Hasegawa 1/200 scale Boeing 737 with Flying Colors decals.
