  1. I used Camouflage Grey, but it was Mr Color. FS36622.
  2. I am excited to watch this build. Is this going to be part of the Out of Africa group build? I'm guessing 1/72nd scale?
  3. These closed off White House parties, vacations and golf outings are expensive. It's only a matter of time.
  4. Let me see.... It's okay to cancel white house tours to school kids and close down museums while "Royalty" goes and smacks whitey with Tiger for 3 mil? We are so doomed. For the uneducated: Smacking whitey is another term for playing golf..... so pull your skirts down!
  5. Another urban legend from Vietnam... A C-123 Provider claimed a kill on a NVAF helicopter using a chain dropped from the aft ramp.
  6. Does the Royal Canadian Air Force still use the AIM 7 Sparrow? I was reading a news article and a picture in the news brief showed a Canadian Hornet with live shots escorting a Tu-95 Bear. Thanks.
  7. These aren't the droids you're looking for..... <_<
  8. Thanks for posting... I noticed there are no MDDR control numbers. Our Airbus' are so banged up from ramp rash it's a wonder they don't fly sideways... well some do with the high perf factors programmed in.
  9. There's also Leisure Time Hobbies in Joliet which is only slightly better than Al's or Ad venture hobbies. A bit more selection of kits and not over priced like AdVenture.Ad venture which was Venture hobbies was once an awsome place to visit but since the change ownership has gone downhill like all hobby shops in Chicagoland given the economy brought upon the US by the Obamunist regime. Not being political... Just that a good hobby shop is hard to come by in Chicago these days.
  10. and through all this horror and tragedy, not one bud was spilled.
  11. I totally forgot about this... too busy get in trouble with the moderators here.... Nearing completion is my FAA 800SQN Super Hornet: Taken quickly with my phone's camera.
  12. Continuing to stir-the-pot on the horrid colour scheme at 'MerIcan.... http://www.flightglobal.com/news/articles/american-and-us-airways-livery-to-be-decided-382391/
  13. I'd have better luck getting hit by a meteor than this when I drive...
  14. This is like the start of a bad made for tv scifi disaster flick.
  15. I think Mike Ferral (sp?) was his name. Lived nearby our place down in Connecticut. Lawyer, flew light planes. Nice guy, but an odd duck (we all are in this hobby). Lives in the valley out in Cali now I think. He had the online shop modelairliners.com I think as well. PS: The new Coke...er I mean Cubana... er nevermind... I'll get banned for my opinion of 'Merican. PPS: I noticed Pravda in the roadway taking video of the lineup.
  16. Messed up thing is I work with alot of ex-Navy pilots who dig that scene... they tend tend to go for franks and beans though. To each his own.
  17. Eddie, You might wish to consider a Monogram F-80 in 1/48 scale. Simple build and plenty of straight lines. Enough challenge around the intakes to learn from and not get frustrated with scribing curves. The Voodoo might be a better second or third kit to attempt to rescribe. Good luck
  18. I'll probably be banned for asking this as I've been warned by the moderators here for hurting the feelings of some our more sensitive members on the ARC... As a TWA guy, still on the street, I don't know who staples who in this "potential" merger? So much for ever going back. USAPA ALPA APA... a perfect three way marriage between cousin f@Ckers. Maybe I can buy a type rating on the fry cooker at Burger King... I hear they're hiring. Bitter? no. Salty? yes. GEH737's post sums it up nicely. On a more serious note: The Hasegawa 1/200 scale 787 is one sweet little kit...
  19. That's me tomorrow. I'm on reserve, which means I'll fly. My company is in meltdown again with flight crews stuck in cities and no hotels available who are timed out.. Tonight while it snows I'm watching "Airport"
  20. I have modeller ADD in the worst way. I just counted the models that I have in various stages of completion...46 models. These are out side the box. I can't even remember when last finished a model.
  21. It's shown on the Weather Channel down in the US. Usually its mashed in between Storm Stories and Preventing Sunburn on Your Shitzu.... Oh Oh... Jim Cantore just pulled up... I better evacuate.... but Coast Guard Alaska's on...
  22. At least they're girls. At my more "equal" than other airline, the "girls" are often Neal, Dick and Bob working the rear. And yes, they act like girls. And don't be surprised if Top Gun Ted in the left seat of the cockpit is married to Robert.... It's a rare occurrence in a month to actually have trips where I fly with normal crew compliment. It gets a bit old.... edit: fergot a werd
