  1. That is awesome (and would probably kick an Awesome's butt). I love battletech. I just wish there were more models that weren't resin (ok, I am cheap).
  2. I use it for my canopies and it stays on for the painting (usually enamels) and both the clear gloss coat and dullcoat. Future also doesn't bother it as well. It works wonderfully.
  3. What show or series is it from? It looks cool and I wonder if the other mech are as cool.
  4. My preferred method is to mask the canopy using "parafin m," attach it to the model and then paint the whole thing. Then, when I am done, I just remove the parafin and the canopy is painted as is the model. You do need to wait to finish all the steps (i.e. gloss coat and flat coat) before you remove the parafin, though as the various clear coats will mess up your canopy.
  5. Thanks. I guess you learn something new every day.
  6. I have another question, as I was thinking about it. Can you use laquer thinner to remove the paint from a part that has already been painted (badly). I am wondering as I have a small piece that I painted and the paint was too thin. I want to remove the paint and start again. Will the aquer thinner remove the paint, but not damage the plastic? Again, thanks.
  7. Thanks for the information. Now to find laquer thinner.
  8. So laquer thinner will clean up enamel paint? I know enamel paint is oil based. Is laquer (and its thinner) as well?
  9. I have a question for all you airbrush gurus out there. I have a Aztec 470 which I just finished cleaning. Now, I use mm enamels to spray with. Is there some other fluid to use to clean up with afterwards instead of the airbursh thinner (testors)? I would like something cheaper and in greater bulk for cleaning. I have no problem getting the thinner to mix with the paint, but I feel I am using more thinner for cleaning than for painting. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
  10. My Dad picked it up when my brothers and I were young and so I have played it on and off for years and years. The Marauder rocks.
  11. I have a question. Is there any difference between the Testors paint thinnner (for airburshing) and their brush cleaner?
