  1. Thanks Jake & Uh - Oh! I´m useing a Cutting Edge 109 G6 cockpit, Eagle Editions Spinner, Oil cooler, Supercharger intake, decals, Aires wheel wells, Schatton Modellbau MG barrels and last but not least the MDC tail wheel. But i´ll replace the yoke by a self casted brass yoke. Perhaps i can manage to use the underwing gunpods and scratch some MK 108 barrels for the pods. :) Chris
  2. Thanks very much Gentlemen! I´m glad you like it. I sure will keep you updated! Thanks, Chris
  3. Hi David, very nice!! Did you used the decals for the white stripes, or did you painted them on? However, it looks stunning. Just one thing, on this canopy, the antenna wire was not hanging down. It was always straight. If you have the blown hood canopy, this would be correct. But shht, i won´t tell it to anybody :) Just for you to keep it in your mind for the next one Cheers, Chris
  4. Yessir! The black & yellow tailband, a yellow lower engine cowl and a yellow 4 on the fuselage. Cheers, Chris
  5. Hi all, here is just a little step - by - step guide how to make some spraymasks. Pic 1 Make a colored copy of the decal sheet. Pic 2 Put the copy into a clear foil bag. Pic 3 Attach a piece of masking foil over the "decal" you need. (Yellow 4 in this example) Pic 4 Carefully cut along the outlines of the 4 with a new sharp sclapell blade. Use a ruler to make straight lines if needed. Pic 5 Cut out the masking foil. Pic 6 Remove the 4 from the masking sheet. Now you can decide which part you want to use. The good thing is, you can store it somewhere till you need it, as
  6. Hi all, just a week to go and i doubt i can get this one done in time. :) Here are the latest pics. The Spinner was painted white first. Then i made a mask for the snail and attached it. The black was the next step. I´ll use a decal sheet from Eagle Editions and as i ever have problems with long thin decals, i made a copy on paper of the decal sheet, put it between a clear foil, attached a less glueing masking foil over the decal and started cutting along the edges with a sharp scalpell blade. I did the same with the yellow 4. Not that it is nessesary, the decals are g
  7. Hello Gentlemen, i finally made some more progress on this bird. The fuselage is together, some areas are filled with putty, some others are rescribed and i installed a pair of brass barrels from Schatton Modellbau in Germany. The detail behind the pilots seat is scratched. Hope you like it. Cheers, Chris
  8. The painted flaps and Aires Wheel wells. Other side. I milled out the dent for the larger G6 wheels. Landing Gear after painting. I still have to add a gloss varnish on the silver part, as i overpainted the entire LG with flat varnish after the wash and decals. There is also some work left n the drop tank. I want to overwork the "drop-dents" with that ball mill bit. Hope you like it so far. Any comments are welcome. Cheers mates, Chris
  9. Who said German Cockpits are boring and grey? Unfortunately the shading doesn´t come to life on the pics, but there is one for sure! The instrument panel. There still is left the wire from the ReVi to the panel as well as the clear parts of the ReVi. I also had to lengthen the carrier of the ReVi, it was way to short. Not only of accuracy, but more of fit problems with the windscreen.
  10. Smooth main wheels. A Fuel tank with some dents. I still have to rework it. The clear parts after the FUTURE treatment. I dipped them into FUTURE and let them dry on a paper tissue in a dust free box for two days. That´s all for the moment. Now the paint work can start. Please let me know what you think. Cheers, Chris
  11. The Eagle Editions Supercharger intake. Lots of patient fileing is needed here, but the result is great! The Aires Wheel Wells. What a nice part. The ETC Rack is from the kit. I drilled in some holes and hollowed it out. The rudders were cut off and glued on in deflected position.
  12. Hi all, actually this is my DOTR model, but somehow i missed the deadline... In this case i will go on with it here. What already is done: This model will be a 109 G14 from the 15./JG 5 unit, with a black-yellow tail band. The following stuff will be used on thes bird: - Cutting Edge Cockpit - Eagle Editions Spinner - Eagle Editions Supercharger intake - Aires Wheel Wells - MDC Tail Wheel - Eagle Cals Decal sheet #46 The first pics shows the right cockpit side. All Resin parts are already oversprayed with Mr. Surfacer 1000 left side Cockpit floor. The rudder pedals are fro
  13. Thanks Wingman! ;) Unfortunately i´m not able to finish this bird in time of the GB. So i will move over the other forum with the next update. Sorry guys... Cheers, Chris
  14. Thanks John & Raptor :D Nah... i won´t rush it, but i´m still hoping... Cheers
