  1. The base is a exterior floor tile painted grey with a hardstanding pattern drawn on it
  2. They were a set from Two Mikes Resin. I think they aren't available any more
  3. It's part of a old Two Mikes set Ray
  4. I finished this quite a few months ago. But I was faffing around with backgrounds trying to get some decent photos. Finally got something I liked. All the details of the build and my thoughts on the kit are at my blog But in summary. Good kit but showing it's age. I'm happy with most of it bar the exhausts (For such a prominent feature I didn't do a good job on them) and the canopy (crap design). Lots of photos at the blog but here's a couple of photos
  5. IIRC Wolfpack do one. There is also one in some of the Kinetic F-16 boxing
  6. Any of the Mr Color Clears Standard clear, Super Clear or the new GX range ,
  7. It's pretty straight forward build. Nice detail. the only issue is the fit of the part under the engine . This can be easily overcome with a bit of thought. My build is here
  8. I'm not sure if this is TIC. But a quick google seems to show Canada introduced GST in 1991 whereas Australian introduced it in 2000. So you've only got yourselves to blame .
  9. If the buyer lives in Australia ebay will charge them (the buyer) 10% GST (goods and services tax) . The Australian government brought this in about 18 months ago. Hannants and Amazon, along with a few other bigger retailers do. They (the retailers) collect the tax and return it to the Australian government. There are "rules" that outline who is supposed to collect the tax (one being that the retailer had to do over a set amount of business with Australia customes0 , but it was always unclear how this would be enforced. Most smaller retailers don't have to. Amazon for a while geoblocked Australians from the Amazon.com site saying it was to difficult to collect. Something we all thought was strange as they seem to charge different taxes depending on the state in the US you are. They directed us to the .com.au site which has less choice and is often more expensive (even with shipping) than the .com site. This has been now been changed (although for many things there is still a local company that is much cheaper than Amazon.) As an aside the reason most people in Australia don't buy from the US anymore is the postage rates. They are very expensive compared to Europe and the far east.
  10. For many the whole point of this kit was to have the wings forward and everything hanging out :-) . For wings back - why not Tamiya? I'd like to see the other side of the nose as well...
  11. Hi all I'm currently building a Operation Iraqi Freedom F-15E. It will be loaded with 2 X GBU-10's on the , 4 x GB-12's along with the usual tanks and AAM's. I'm interested in what remove before flight tags would be fitted to the aircraft and particularly to the GBU's. I've sent some time googling but haven't come across anything really definitive, if anything it seems the RBF tags for the bombs vary depending on service/aircraft and country . Any assistance would be appreciated
  12. And the intakes and the more detailed undercarriage bays
  13. Thanks I'll update to reflect . I guess it can't do any harm writing and asking anyway. They may still send the bits or provide instructions on how to pay for shipping
  14. I wrote this a few weeks ago because I had to get replacement Hasegawa parts (again) http://hamfisted-modeller.blogspot.com/2019/04/getting-spare-parts-hamfisted-modellers.html At lest one other person I know has used the Hasegawa method described in the blog post since. I've had a 100% success rate.
