  1. Well this was one of those. If you're interested in the problems I had, or want to see more pictures then check out my website Here's are couple pic's edit: Fin fixed
  2. Hi Greg great build, I'm filing it as reference for my F-4G build. Where did you get the decals from? I want to do a desert storm F-4G
  3. Any chance of seeing the desert storm pics? Thanks
  4. Surely I don't have to spell it out Scott But I can, if this was on a trumpeter or Hobby Boos kit, the signal to noise ratio on some of the other sites would be huge The canopy has a flaw (despite Mike V's comments on HS, it should be corrected), disappointing considering the cost of the kit. But as has been pointed out, its not that hard to fix. From what I've read the scratch is on the inside, outside and both. Can anyone confirm? If it is on the outside then it's even less of an issue because of the seam
  5. If this flaw was present in kits from other manufacturers I'm sure there would be an outcry and thus considered un-buildable from some circles. It's disapointing it hasn't been fixed in this new boxing. Still it is repairable and the kit is pretty good.
  6. Thanks guys. I'll see how I go
  7. Doh ...... That'll be why I'm having so much trouble finding one
  8. Hi John, Sorry 1/48, I'll edit the first post
  9. I want to do a late model F-15C . I am using the Hasegawa kit, Wolfpack MSIP upgrade set and Afterburner decals aggressors decals. I'm after opinions on the Black box and Aires cockpit (late) . Which one is the best/most accurate/easiest to fit? Edit, added more details
  10. how different were the cockpits between the FGR 1 and FGR-2? I have the Aires FGR-1 pit, can I get away with using that in my FGR-2
  11. Funnily enough, in reality canopy's/transparencys are never crystal clear. They nearly always have smal scratches, crazes' etc. But I concede at scale they may look that way. I struggle to get mine as clear as I see others, which is annoying :D. For me though it's paint finish, no runs etc and seam lines no seams.
  12. Nice looking build. The aircraft looks much better in flight than on the ground IMHO. On the ground it looks goofy Not sure it can carry JDAMS though, thought it was limited to GBU-39 SDB's for air to ground.
  13. Anyone got details (pictures would be great) of operational loadouts for desert storm A-10's. Also interested in anticipated load outs for A-10's in the late 1980's in Europe, espcially ones that would be used in things there went to custard Thanks
  14. The RAAF have it on the F-111. I beleive the USAF has retired it. The pic below was taken at Avalon Airshow last year, the pod on the opposite wing is the datalink pod.
  15. Here's a thread a few days back they may be of use http://www.network54.com/Forum/219149/thre...-A-18+and+F-111
  16. So where will we be able to get these from? Are you selling direct? I'll take a LERX for sure
  17. That means the slats aren't set up properly. Unless they are bolted up aka the Blue angels or some adversary a/c, or they are strapped up with a belt for maintenance (which was pretty unusual) if they up on the goround then aren't set up correctly. They should always be deployed on the ground.
  18. Geeze these might be worth it for the weapons alone.
  19. Wow, Excellent builds I'm currently building one of these at the moment, and It's not been as nice a fit as I was led to beleive, although that could be more down to the modeller. Hope mine looks even 1/2 has good as those.
  20. I noticed Lucky model had Aires sets in stock a couple of days back
  21. I want to do an F-14B, should I used the Aires F-14A or F-14D cockpit?
  22. nice model Sid. Did you have any trouble getting the fuselage together, especially around the back of the Main landing gear bays?
