  1. If anyone has one of the Revell or Hobby Boss kits and doesn't want 1 of the 2 2000 litre tanks I'd be happy to take it off your hands Don't have much to trade but ask anyway. Thanks
  2. One from my web site The A-4 Alley I never saw them fitted with the fins cantered inboard
  3. From what I can work out there isn't really much difference. Nothing that really sticks out like the proverbial anyway The thread has a few http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index....howtopic=128244
  4. Looks good. Although you do realise that you''re showing the dispensers with blanks fitted. They are 8 units per bucket. I'm scratch building some as well, although mine are only out of plastic and don't look as nice as yours Here's what I have found Blanks fitted There were from Here the pictures on the menu page take you to sub gallery's. More Here The only pic I have seen with the dispensers fitted was in the instructions for the update set from Skyradier models I considered buying this set but it would have cost me twice as much as he kit so I decided to resort to scratch-buil
  5. Considering I'm using this scheme on a Rafale I'm not sure I need to Also, Thanks to the GoodSgt. I agree those colours look OK, XF59 is close to the orange brown (needs to be a bit more orange though). Considering I'm dong a what if these will probably do
  6. Wonder if this means another Run of F-15C's is on the cards?

    TA-4

Ken I've got the same idea. Although I was going to use the Monogram OA-4M kit. Now I'm going to check the Hobby world kit out and see how far out it is. Considering we just want he nose section it might be OK Kiwi Resins do a resin replacement for the TA-4 so you might want to check that out.
  8. Hi Steve Being the lazy b$%^ard I am I'd hoped this. But I've resigned myself to doing this now :-)
  9. Been there. The Tamiya paints I have and I'm not happy with them. ;-)

    TA-4

I guess that depends on your age. If your over 30 it might be a risk waiting for this kit
  11. All Can anyone recommend some good paint matches for the 3 colours in that awesome looking A-10 from the NATS I have the colours as Lt Sand FS 23617 Lt brn FS 30257 Dark Brn FS30118 Recommendation's for some good matches from Gunze or Model masters would be appreciated. I want to use these 3 colours in a what if project Thanks
  12. Got mine today. They look very nice. Great Service, Great price. Thanks Harold
  13. No it won't stop HB, but it will confirm that this is a copy. Even a post on their website would be a start. As for "free Publicity for HB, I don't buy that either. Most people that buy model magazines read the various internet forums. The signal to noise ratio that pops up on the www every time a Chinese manufacturer shows up with a new kit is more than enough, without the need for any further publicity. Agreed I'm interested in E's G's and FGR-2's myself.
  14. Agree Motty The conspiracy theory that hobby boss killed of a Mirage IIIE, is just that, a theory. I have the HB IIICJ kit, haven't seen a Eduard IIICJ so I can't comment on whther it's a direct copy (as many think) or very similar wiht some enhancements (as others say). But IF Hobby Boss did copy it then why has Eduard Said so???? There is obviously no point sueing etc but they could certainly make some news in the modeling press. Until Eduard (or ROG with the Rafale) come out and ssay its a copy. Then as far as I'm concerned it's not. Regarding F-4's If I were at Eduard (Thankfully fo
  15. I'm building a 48 Rafale C. Here's my comments on that kit in no particular order 1. Accuracy? Dunno looks like a Rafale C to me. Looking at Skyraider Model Designs there is obviously some things missing from the production aircraft (CDS etc). 2. The exterior detail, recessed lines etc on the kit is very nice. As good as Hasegawa/Tamiya IMHO 3. Only 1 decal option (for the prototype, so perhaps it is accurate for that). Not an issue for me as I'm not doing a French aircraft. Should really have had more options though but again this the protoype so.... 4. Cockpit detail is average at best
  16. Thanks for that advice Matt. I'll give them a go. I guess I have nothing to lose
  17. But at least you'll have the option..... Right now you don't (OoB) so your point on the price is pointless Down here Hobby Boss is still cheaper than Hasegawa, F/a-18's $60 is comapared to $80 ish, Mirages $25 as opposed to $40 ish (eduard weekender) Rafale is about $35. I'm building the Rafale and it's pretty good value for money IMHO
  18. I have the HB CJ and the decals look excellent IMHO. I'm going to do the 3 tone camo one with the large ID triangles. I'd be painting those regardless
  19. I'd like to see that. I've been put of doing my 1/48 scale pit. The Kiwi resin conversion was disappointing as well. Still needs a lot of work
  20. From memory there is a form on the instruction sheet with a snail mail address. Fill the form out and send it away (snail mail) Your part will turn up in the mail. I did this about 4 weeks ago , I lost a LAU 117 out of the A-10 kit. It took about 2-3 weeks to get my part (I'm in Australia) This is the second time I've got something from them. Worked fine both times
  21. From my references it's a licence made Martin Baker MK 16F. http://www.martin-baker.com/getdoc/a04cd08...F---Rafale.aspx I'd be interested if there is a resin seat as well
  22. Awesome build.... makes me want to give it away
  23. Agreed thanks, That Hungarian is s%^t hot.
  24. I'm about embark on building Hobby Boss's Rafale C. Will be done as a RAAF "What IF" Can anyone recommend some good online Rafale Web sites. I have the International Airpower review Vol 4 article on the Rafale which has some good images but you can never have to many references IMHO
