  1. A good rule of thumb (notice I didn't say 100%!) is if the alpha probe on the nose isn't present, that second TIT probe on the port side just below the canopy will be present. It seems once the nose probe was added, the TIT probe went away.
  2. I ordered something from Sprue Bros and it went all the way out to California and back. It took almost three weeks for it to be delivered. Here's the kicker....I live in the same city as Sprue Bros.!!!!!!!!!
  3. Thanks for the assist Ben! I couldn't find any of my files with the instruction sheets when I sold off the last of my Steel Beach items. I sold everything "as is". If I knew how to do 3D CAD, I'd get into that, but I have no desire to tackle that learning curve!
  4. Kursad, that just about sums it up perfectly. Good old AI. I would recommend to those who have been commenting negatively that it's counter-productive. He has a business model that he believes will work. If the quality of the product is as described, great. He didn't ask for feedback on the business model. If it's too rich for you, then simply say, "Great looking product. Unfortunately I can't afford it." There's no need to criticize him. It's off-putting, and we're better than that on ARC.
  5. Anyone know what the bottom looks like? If Kursad decides not to do it, I may take a stab at it.
  6. That answers the question I had. I wondered if the FLIR/centerline bag of gas was going to be in frontline service. I had seen it a couple years ago, and then crickets.
  7. I'll agree with Ben. The yellow on their A-4 sheet was a bit brittle, but I was able to touch up those areas with paint and it looked just fine. Milspec is the old CAM decal line.
  8. There's one being worked on now from what I hear.
  9. Sorry I didn't have anything with pictures. I purged all of my hardcopy instruction sheets when I closed the business. Glad you got everything in good shape.
  10. This right here! ^^^^^^^^ I love the GX line of clear coats.
  11. Hmm, I must have missed it. Let go back and check. I've been a bit surprised at the number of emails I've gotten. Send another one about what you're looking for. Cananda isn't a problem at all. Sorry about that!
  12. The Navy is SO SLOW getting C squadrons. I get that the Marines are flying F-18's that are falling apart, but some of those Super Hornets aren't spring chickens either.
  13. For some reason, I can't post the list. Email me at drobertsusd512@gmail.com if you'd like the list. If you see something you want, email with the item number and how many. I'll send you your total. The only way I can do it, though, is first come first served, so get your orders in sooner rather than later. Cheers! Darren
  14. Sorry for the late response. I was visiting my dad in NY. I had tried to post before I left, but it was giving me an error message. The sale has started. I'll update what's available and post it.
  15. The Steel Beach Summer Selloff is coming in July! As some of you know, I used to run a small aftermarket company called Steel Beach Accessories. After 15 years of doing it, and downsizing the house, it was time to hang it up. I put everything in storage and moved on with life. However, a few weeks ago I pulled everything out and realized I had quite a bit of stock, as well as the masters I used to cast product. So, I organized everything and am going to get rid of it for good. I'll be listing everything at the beginning of July. I'm not quite sure how I'm going to do it, but I'll figure it out

  17. I put them under Toys and Hobbies, Models and Kits, Aircraft. I get a sturdy box (Walmart has extra strength boxes that are inexpensive) that is larger than the model and fill it with fiberfill/polyfill that you can get at a craft store, as Dutch said. The key is not to skimp on the box. Make it large enough that the model doesn't come anywhere near the sides. That's essentially what destroys a model during shipping is contact with a hard object. It will cost more to ship, but it's worth it. The model will "float" in the polyfill and any shock will be absorbed. There's no getting around small
  18. I concur about the museum idea. I build for a museum and my task this summer is to go organize the back room. There is literally a pile, and I mean pile, of built models that has been sitting for at least 20 years. There's also about two dozen plastic bins with built models in them. For the most part, they are all going to "disappear". I'll try and sort out some good/valuable ones, but I'm not sure it's worth the trouble. The eBay idea is a good one. When I finish a model, it goes on to eBay. I usually start them at what I paid for the kit. Most times you'll make break even. Every once in awhi
  19. I have one set each of DIRCM and LIRCM in 1/72 scale.
