  1. A friend sent me a news clipping that A.B.Charles is moving out of the MT Lebanon/Dormont PA area to near the Donaldson's Crossroads Shopping Center in Peters, PA(near Canonsberg, PA). High Local taxes are what caused the move said Scott Charles. Wow! I can remember when I bought an early Revell S-kit P-39 from Scott's grandfather when he had a small shop at the top of the hill from the barn they are moving out of. Sure will be a long drive from my sisters place in Pleasant Hills when I visit there every year. Mark
  2. I think you all have it wrong. The most expensive model related items are "Cutting Edge" decals on Ebay. LOL, Mark
  3. Note that there are two windscreens back to back. This is in case you don't get the first one right. Mark
  4. Well the bulk of Isaac has passed and the rain has stopped for now. Still have more rain bands to go though. Only damage we had was the loss of our Katrina Elm tree. Lost an elm during Katrina and planted another one after. Wife decided that we will not plant a tree there again. Thank God! Had to work all day yesterday went in for 7am and left at 10 pm. Poor wife was alone through it all. Lost power at around 10am and we got power back today at about the same time. Really quick! Had to wade through knee high water to get to the house, but that was at the bridge and none of the houses in the s

  8. Do you know what the two aircraft under the clear plastic are? Were they labeled? When I went through Silver Hill many years ago the guide said the vets said that the P-38 looked just as they did in combat and not to change a thing. So he said they wouldn't Seems they found it on one of the islands abandoned as is. Mark
  9. Well while I can sort of handle it several weeks ago my wife said that I should get that $700 saw I have been wanting, A week later the A/C in the shop died so in 99-100F heat no work in the shop or model building. Then we went on vacation for two weeks and while away my son tells me that the house A/C died. $1000 later and that is because the unit was under warranty! I don't even want to know what it would cost without a warranty. All this while we are spending like water on vacation. It will cut into the retirement savings a little. and with luck I'll replace it in the next year before I ret
  10. Well we have done both. Stayed off of DW property and on. For the DW part of your trip stay on property and get the meal plan. Just can't be beat. We have stayed at Pop Centery resorts 4 times and it beats staying in a motel. Note adding extra days is so cheap that you can get a 10 day park-hopper ticket for not much more than a 5 day ticket and get non expireing tickets. Now for the Universal/Sea World part of your trip. Stay on International Drive. Check the web. There are several nice hotels/motels there at great prices. Finally be sure to go to The Fantasy of Flight. Great Aircraft museum
  11. Here in Baton Rouge, LA was $3.33 per gal. on Monday, Today it went to $3.45. Was $2.37 before the mid-east blew up. Mark

  14. This is the way it should be done No need to change. As others have said "JUST GET SOMEONE TO DO IT RIGHT". Mark
  15. Well we've been to DW and the Orlando area quite a few times. Nothing is better than staying at one of the value resorts and getting the meal plan. We like Pop Century. You can eat at just about any resturant on the Disney property and with a little planning get the most bang for your buck. That said you can some great and cheap places to stay on "I" drive for your visit to Universal and its add on. Plan for 2-3 days there. Fantisy of Flight is a must for anyone interested in aviation. A full daytime trip on one of your rest days. Everyone else will like it too. If you haven't OD'd on parks B
