  1. Thanks all! I can see it will be my last pics for this year. Here they are : The instrument panel (not finished), and the landing light glasses The rudder and stabilizer. Sanded and re-written. That all for this year. I hope present you the finished model for the next Matchbox Madness. Bye! Philippe
  2. Hello, Your construction is progressing well . I see that you like the difficulty with this hybrid French-English, or (Anglo-French I do not know). What about the cockpit? You'll have a lot of work too. Philippe
  3. Hello, all Here is the result of the construction. The ailerons and flaps have been cut, and I am in process hinges. They are functional. Unfortunately, I did not find any pictures or drawings of the aileron hinges, so I'll try to make the most lifelike as possible. Anyone can help me? Thanks, Philippe
  4. Hello, Thommo Exellent work! I love this plane I also have the same kit but in the last box. The colors of the civilian version have disappeared and it was my favorite. Good weekend, Philippe
  5. Hello, all Here is my scratch-building. I decided to supplement and modify the model in the cockpit, wings, tails, and engine. And more... Perhaps. First, the fuselage : The details are made from plastic card and sheet aluminum for the structure, and wire to the cabane (not painted yet) The fuel tanks and oil are foil wrapped on a balsa form. There was also a bit of sprue and copper wire. The painting of the cockpit is duck egg blue, and it is a mistake that I noticed too late. This should have been green cockpit. It will be for next time. That all for the moment. Cheers, P
  6. Hello, all! I will join with a 1/72e detailed Lysander A lot of work on it ! Philippe
  7. Hello, all! here is my "built from the box" Ju 188, began in the first Matchbox GB, finished last month :
  8. Hello, Madmike! I think now I will present my Ju 188, began two years ago! Really! I had misery with it, but I finally won! The story in pics, probably next Saturday. I am so much happy to see again some Matchbox kits ! Thank you, Madmike! Philippe
  9. Hello, all! I began this topic on the Matchbox madness forum, but it have been closed before I present more pics of my building kit. So, I decided to continue to present here others pics... Small summary of the preceding episode : (see the Matchbox forum) While wanting to rectify a little twisted part - the under-surface of the left wing I plunged it in hot water to rectify it. It was worse!! I in-extrémis caught up the damage with Sintofer filler and a re-engraving, model-Matchbox. Average result. Here, therefore: The wing before and after. I had warned you ! The fuselage
  10. Hello, all! here are other pics of my Kit I just hope you will see more details of this small cockpit... No photocut, only plastic card aluminium, and copper string (for the switches). All the raised panel lines have been rub down, and lightly engraved with a razor blade. The wheels bays (not finished) : For the details I used the same materials than for the cockpit . The reason of the interrupted work : The shape of this piece looks not correct, so I began to use humbrol filler. Not easy ! The adventure continues Cheers, Philippe
  11. Well, I think it's the Folland Gnat single seat, with the two-seat canopy. What is there behind the pilot ? Philippe
  12. Hello, all! One day, I decided to detail a Kit I built 23 years ago : I didnt know a hard work was below me  ! I show you the first photograph. The cockpit Later, I will show you some others photograph of the work I did. I think this G.B. will give me courage to continue the "restauration". Bye, Philippe
  13. Hello, Here is my 1/48 Spitfire Airfix kit Outside with the sunshine, Inside, with the camera flash.
  14. Hello, all! As promised, here is the second part of the topic concerning the Airfix kits, sold under the name of Heller ;) ! Corsair F4U1, With Heller decals The first (and real) Kit Arfix, with the cockpit remakes with plastic card, and sprue for the tubular strucutre. Long to be made, but not very difficult! The second, with the same treatment as the first. That all...Cheers! Philippe
  15. Hello, all! I present to you photographs of Heller models assembled by young French (8 to 12 years), with whom I taught the maquettism, between 1996 and 1999. I personally made improvements to the level of the cockpits, the panel lines have been engraves, and add various small details… for the pleasure. that why I present them to you Spitfire Mark XVI P47N Thunderbolt Mirage 2000N F117 Nighthawk Next time, it will be the turn of the Airfix kit :) Good Week-end, Philippe
