  6. Bert Kinzey's Detail & Scale book on the F4U Corsair, Part 1, indicates that the landing light was deleted on corsairs with the bureau number 17930 and higher (page 51). On page 31, Kinzey writes "Another change that began with F4U-1A, BuNo. 17930, was the elimination of the retractable landing / taxi light under the left wing." I have not seen any photos to contradict this.   11. You can do what I did (unfortunately, an expensive option) is to buy the Block 50 and 32 and trade parts so you can have a complete Block 30 and 52, as well as the original block 32 and 50. Can you tell I like the F-16? Rich
