Guys here is a clip of the Mercedes car with the new turbo. I like the whispering sound at the end. Hoping red bull reveals a nice looking car. Williams and McClaren have the ugliest noses in my opinion.

Cooll! I have a Sierra I plan to build eventually. I'm curious on how you plan to make the displays and standby instruments on the instrument panel since there are no photo-etch sets available. :cheers:/>

Can't wait to add this to the stash!

Nice one, Karl!

Thanks guys! I didn't put much thought into taking more pictures, I was just relieved to finally finish it. The only other picture I have is when I dropped it off at my parents house last week. I'll try to get better pictures and an article for the front page soon. Dan

Looks great, B.

Thanks for comments, everyone! I used the small enamel testors paints for the dark and light blues. I forgot the exact names of them but the Fightertown sheet has them listed. The paints are not meant for airbrushing so I had to thin them out pretty well.

About two years later and it's finally done. 1/48 Hasegawa kit with Two Mikes intakes, G-factor gear, Black Box seats, and Fightertown Decals Centennial sheet. Off to finish my Lynx!

Not a bad kit overall. The windows on the nose are a bit tricky to get right. I recommend using PE for the cockpit since you're given decals in the kit. I built the Revell Germany boxing with the HSL-49 show bird, awesome scheme and the decals were decent.

Great build!

When I was flying the TH-57, the sim instructor had me land on an FFG in a SAR sim. It was an "interesting" experience. :D

My link Check out the airspeed indicator. Looks like the Vne is around 260 knots. It's a fighter alright...... I mean fake.

Poked around today to look for the first T-6's that were recently delivered here to NAS Corpus Christi. All I have to say is WOW. The plane really shows how dated the mighty T-34 is. An interesting piece of info I learned from talking to the civilian folks working on it was that the tires have to be replaced after FIVE bounces (touch and go's). I have a hard time believing the Navy would sign for an aircraft that goes through tires like that.... Anyway, just wanted to share a few pics with ya! Sporty looking plane. Nice cockpit....

OK, so it's been a while since I have gotten to the point where I can apply an oil wash. The question I have is, how do I go about applying enough of the wash without having it stain the surrounding plastic? I just want the panel lines and rivets filled in, not have a brown mark around them! Thanks for the help. I'm using burnt umber with turpenoid BTW.....

Why all the fuss over this? Just build the model (accurate or not) and have fun.
