  1. Thanks! I love tankers. I have two AMT 72nd kits waiting on the shelf. One KC-135E and one R. Yes R. I'm glad I grabbed the R model when I did because I haven't seen another one in years.

  5. Yeah, it took one Corona just to open the box and look inside! It looks like fit may be a problem with this build, can someone confirm this.

  11. Hey Thud, looking good so far. Are you going with after market nozzles. I can't believe how bad the kit ones are. I'm going with these: http://www.kitreview.com/reviews/bonenozzlereviewbg_1.htm They are too long but alot better than the kit nozzles.

    Academy KC-97L

    This was my dad's '97. Why Old Yeller? Well, AGE support thought they would paint some ground equipment that was near dad's plane (yes yellow, you catch on fast) so long story short, overspray covered the left side. He managed to rub most of it off along with part of "2" on 642. He crewed this plane until around '75 when the 160th rec'd KC-135's. This plane was inherited by the Illinois Air Nat'l Guard, not sure after that. As far as the kit goes, there are several problems, one major being lack of steering mechanism on nose gear( how did they miss that) The kit instructions weren't all that c
