  1. Hello, just wanted tyo add that those planes were in service with our Army Air Corps, not with our Air Force. Regards
  2. Well, as I said before, if you build a Hasegawa Mk-V and a Hasegawa Mk-IX, you won´t note the shorter fuselage, as Hasegawa´s Mk-V is shorter than its IX, so nobody could tell, the problem arise or will arise if you stand an Eduard one beside a Hasegawa´s one, in fact, I have 2 Hasegawa´s and I´m not planning to sell them, I like them after all, but Eduard´s is better. Maybe Tamiya´s 1/32 has more detail, but, at least for me, as an average modeller and from the point of view of soemone who don´t compete at shows and so on, the Eduard´s one has the perfect balance between detail and
  3. Well, Eduard deserves the title of the best Spitfire Mk-IX in any scale, at least for me, ICM one is very similar, but is a very complicated kit and needs a lot of work.....
  4. Hello to all: Well, after buying my brand new Eduard´s Propipack Spitfire IX I decided to make a very simple comparison, I put the Eduard´s right fuselage on top, then Hasegawa´s IX one and last the ICM´s IX one, simple conclusion, Eduard´s one is 173mm in length, Hasegawa´s 170 mm and ICM is virtually identical to Eduard´s with 174 mm, as ytou can see in the images I use a simple ruler, no precision tooling, but I hope this will give you and idea of the 3 mayor Spitfire Mk-IX out there, I you put the Hasegawa´s one next to a Hasegawa´s Mk-V, still the IX is longer, wich is correct as the Mk-V
  5. I Have even a simpler solution, if you don´t like it, just don´t buy it,m I´ll buy it bnecause I like it I don´t matter if the decals are good or right, if they`re wrong, you can buy aftermarket ones, if they´re good you can use them, or you can buy aftermarket ones becuase you don´t like any of the versions, I´m tired of seeing people who lives only to critize the work of others, hey, after all, can you do it better?, I repeat, if you don´t like it, don´t buy it, every single company in the entire world has done its mistakes, Tamiya, GHaaegawa, Monogram, Eduard, ICM, Aiurfix, nobody
  6. Again, Hasegawa´s VII is longer than Hasegawa´s V,so, the proportions are ok, it is short compared to ICM´s IX (only 2 milimiters, wich is nothing in my book), but who knows if Hasegawa retooled the fuselaje for their VII and VIII´s, maybe the didn´t use the IX fuselage. Anyway, Eduard will eventually pop out a superb VII and VIII.
  7. Hello to all. Just wanted to tell you a discover I did, or at least I think so. i´ve purchased the brand new Hasegawa Spitfire Mk-VII/VII pointed wing, I did that basically cos I´d like to test myself the measures of the kit, knowing that the Mk-IX was short comparing it to the ICM one, there is a good page of that experiment in the web, but I like to know what about this new Mk-VII, well, here it is what I saw, this kit is 1 cmts long than the Hasegawa Spitfire Mk-Vb, I don´t know if tha difference is"in proper scale", but, as I know that the VII and VIII were longer than the V´s thanks t
  8. Hello. The gear doors can be opened or closed while on the ground, the Mirage 2000 and III have the same settings in that respects, I have tons of our aging M-IIIEA with both, open and closed main gear doors. Best, Juan
  9. Thanks to you David, I really wanted the decals as I always wanted to build that Hellcat of the argentine pilot during WWII. My best regards and hope you´ll have a safe and very Happy New Year!!!!!!
  10. H´s a top trader and an extremely honest and good person, traded some decals with him!.
  11. Monogram hands down, at least for me (wings can pivot and you can display it as you want)...referring to your specific question...Academy, if you don´t mind too much about the somewhat strange nose....
  12. Thank you all for your replies and help. My best regrads, Juan
  13. Hi Mike, I think yours will be finished before mine, as it is not a top priority project, and because I need a new pair of glasses (hope nota new pair of eyes, I always was afraind of blindness), I bought "Double Exposure" decals because I love the pin up girls nose art, but then I realized that some surgery will be needed, anyway, I think it will be a fun project. Thanks for your reply. Best, Juan
  14. I received mine today and I must say it is a gem, the best F-4 in 1/48 scale, rendered all the others obsolete, the only thing I don´t like are the white color of some parts, but that´s all, a personnal preferecnce of me, the kit is 10/10 in my book!. Just my 2 cents!
  15. Thaks Jennings, do you have any pic to show the specific location of them?, I just bought a set of decals from Kitsworld, and I´m afraid I´ll must do some surgery to the kit (I hate doing that as I´m not a top modeller).. Thanks again..
  16. Hello to all: Just want to know if there are any external differences between those Boeing models, I know all the bombs stuff was removed from the recce birds, but as far as I was able to see through the net, there isn´t any significant external difference, Am I right?, if so, can I use the Monogram 1/48 B-29A and build it as an F-13?. Best regards, Juan
  17. Hi to all: I am wondering if there is an external difference between the standard Boeing B-29A Superfortress and the F-13A, its recon version, I know that all the bomb stuff was removed from the recce birds, but, as far as I was able to see through the internet, no external differences were made. Thanks a lot for your time. Best regards, Juan
  18. Hello: I´m looking for one set of those decals that come with the Eduard Hellcat Mk-I/II Dual Combo, the ones belonging to the airplane flown by the argentine pilot Oscar Lorenzo with the "Patoruzú" chacater painted on the cowl, if someone has it and don´t plan to use it, I´ll be very thaksfull. Best regards, Juan
  19. Hi, agree with you totally, but you know, always will be people that the only thing they do is make bad comments on kits becuase, as you said they are 1.01mm short in this or that area...after all, they are replicas, not the "real" thing...to me, if it looks like an F-4, it´s an F-4. Just my 2 cents. Best, Juan
  20. I totally agree with you Stephen. I´ve bought mine 2 days ago and it is on its way to Argentina, it would be nice to see all the improvements over all the other older kits. Seems very nice to me and probably they will issue all the F-4 Phantom family and at a very affordable price. Best, Juan

    Signum 1:48

Hello to everyone, I was wondering if this kit is a reboxed variant of the Hobbycraft kit. Is Signum a company from Poland or from where is it?. Thanks a lot for watchimg.
  23. Aztec will release soon a 30th Anniversary Malvinas War decals sheets, (including A-4´s and Sea Harriers in 2 different sheets)and they will be superb!!!!, I cannot upload pics as they´re on the final step, but I helped them and saw the project, will be just awesome..... USA called the refuerbished A-4B, A-4P, our Air Force always called them A-4B and never used the P nomenclature. Best, Juan
