  1. Litvyak I have a spare canopy, pm me your address and I'll bung it off to you. Regards Dogsbodyx
  2. Hi, just bought a second-hand kit complete with metal seat & Eduard PE but, sadly, on opening at home, no canopy!! If anyone has a spare, I would be happy to purchase it & reimburse any charges etc. Thanks for any assistance. Anthony
  3. They appear to be available direct from the manufacturer here: http://www.condordecals.com.ar/condordecal...p;subrubroID=10
  4. Got one in me hand, Fujimi factory sealed from a kit I practice airbrushing on! Where d'ya want it.......
  5. Sheet 72:23 is "Nam 1963 - 1975". The Mirage III/V sheet is sheet 72:08a & b. PM me your email address and I'll scan the instructions.
  6. EOL on the Rue de Louvre Paris (France) has a set of R77's. I saw them there yesterday.
  7. Aeroclub launched a 1/72 resin replacement at SMW08 for the last inch or so of the model, including jet pipes. Basically, you cut off the last inch or so, add a bit of filler to what is left of the "valley" and stick the resin replacement on the end and smooth in with a bit of putty. The instructions make it look easy.......... but then don't they always... price £3.50 at SMW.
  8. I second this, excellent trader.
  9. They are in stock here: http://www.hannants.co.uk/search/?FULL=AIRE7174 If, as I suspect, the minimum order of £30 is a bit steep for you to order direct then I am happy to pick one up and send it to you at cost if you cannot find it anywhere else.
  10. Vol 28 No 7 September 2006 contains an item called "First-Kill Phantom modelling Kurnass 08" in 1/72.
  11. Yes, Magna models set was very good in shape, the integral wing pylon was very like the photos I have seen. In addition to this set, Plane Bits 72-010 (a USA company) did a set with an ejector seat. The integral wing pylon was not as chunky as the Magna version but the resin is smoother, I find the Magna resin to be rough and almost chalk-like in texture.
  12. Hi, the latest issue of MAM V7 Iss 9 Sept 08 has an article on operation Eagle Claw with some good photos & drawings. It describes the operational markings as "Red & Black" stripes and says "although some A6 Intruders were noted with green stripes". No FS colours given.
  13. I have scanned a b&w image from RAF Jet Fighter Flypast and included the caption from the book here: http://i127.photobucket.com/albums/p124/Do...elin33sqn_1.jpg It may be difficult to see from the scan but the underside of this 33 sqn formation is silver. The caption reads: Neat echelon starboard formation of Javelin FAW7's of 33 sqn (markings dark blue, light blue and red stripes) from Middleton St George in late 1959. First aircraft carries squadron leader's pennant.
  14. Alrite, I think Model Art Decal System will provide most of your needs. M.access 014 is the ASMP missile & pylon for mirage IV; M.access 013 is the BOZ103 chaff dispenser; M.access 009 is the recon pod CT52 (its very good but I think the PAVLA version is a bit better); M.access 010 is the CT51 Espadon (I think its ECM pods); M.access 011 is the AN22 nuclear bomb; M.access 012 is the RS21 LUNE centre fuel tank but it also includes a plug to fill the recess - called a skinning plate. ART 72-055 is decals. All the above accessories are in 1/72 and resin. Model Art are hard to get com
  15. Microscale sheet 72-180 F-104 Starfighters has a NASA starfighter on it. Not sure if Superscale ever re-issued it. Another set are on EBAY here: http://cgi.ebay.com/1-72-NASA-F-104G-F-104...1QQcmdZViewItem Not sure of the number but that set is not the same as 180 (although the NASA decals might be the same).
  16. OK four copies of the French weapons sets are available here: http://cgi.ebay.com/Heller-1-72-HO-US-NATO...1742.m153.l1262 At about £6 each they are well worth the money - I have several sets myself. Model Art is about to release 1/72 resin Matra Super 530 F missiles, M Access 015 they were previewed at Telford - 2 per pack @ £5. Extratech Ex 72160 do a very good PE set, I think better than the Eduard version. Graphy Air transkit No1 includes 1 version of the two-tone camouflage for an Etendard IV as well as a IVP resin nose and reconnaisance pack and air rufuelling pod. Carpena 72-56
  17. Yes I got mine from here: http://www.rebell.com/english/eng_index.html Place your order, the owner emails you back, you email your credit card details (he suggests sending partial numbers in 2 or 3 emails) and the stuff arrives a few days later (in UK anyway). I have used this site 3 times, never a problem, the owner is very reliable.
  18. Model Art Decal System released several 1/72 parts for the Mirage IV at the Telford show. In the past they also released some decals (as have Up North) which are probably out of production but I recall from Telford that they are about to release a new decal 72/057 including ERS1/91 Gascogne; 2/91 Bretagne & CEAM + UN fin markings, all with squadron insignia etc.
  19. Stef, Model Art Decal System advertise in Scale Aircraft Modelling. His latest advert, with the Mirage stuff (which is only £5, not £9.99 as I said above - I think I must have bought two!), is on page 687 of the December edition Vol 29 No 10. Contact details are: Model Art Decal System, PO Box 64, Bury, Lancashire BL9 0SF, United Kingdom. Email modartdec@btinternet.com . Tel/Fax + 44 (0) 1706 827500. The CT52 pod is code M.Access 009 @ £5. The CT51 ECM pod (pack of 2) is M.Access 010 @ £5. They take credit cards and mail order goods.
  20. Its like waiting for a bus, you stand about for ages then 2 come at once... Model Art issued a load of stuff at Scale Model World for the Mirage IV and included was a very good CT52 pod in 1/72 for £9.99 (or thereabouts). In addition they launched the ECM pod CT51 Espadon (pack of two per set) and the 1600Ltr Lune fuel pod with blanking plate. Next to come in a few weeks is a 1/72 ASMP missile (which the Mirage IV used in a stop gap period before the mirage 2000N entered service) and a set of decals... The CT51 pod is really good quality, it even has the three air intakes on the side hollowe
  21. Davide I think Carpena went out of business some time ago, or at least stopped trading, but it appears that someone has recently restarted production as many of their sets are becoming available once more. At one point they did several sets where the decals contained resin cast detail conversions - Mig 17 and P38 Lightnings - so it will be interesting to see if they come back also. Dogsbodyx
  22. Davide I think you may be flogging an (almost dead) horse. I spent years looking for this (although I eventually tracked down a couple of sets from Kingkit at Telford on two separate occasions ;) ). I think the the set was produced as a special edition for the International Air Tattoo here in the UK as they have a little label attached saying specially edited for the IAT. If you were looking for a set in 1/48 then you would have been in luck as I also picked up one of those (before I got the 1/72 sets) as a reference for the markings etc in case I was unsuccessful in finding the 1/72
