  4. awesome build so far... what brand of white do you use and is there any tricks for painting white as what you did with the SRB? i'm also making one at the moment and following your build as a guide just need to get some guide on how to properly paint white. The white i'm painting so far never give me a satisfactory result. thanks in advance kuman

Just thought i bumping this thread again since now Luckymodel is having a sale on the KP Models Mil Mi-8 Hip Search & Rescue (SAR) and this is such a good reference thread for this Mi-8. here's the link. Mil Mi-8 sale at LM just wondering though.. how long is this kit a 1/72 scale/..   7. Alexander.. you have an awesome build of the Kiowa.... much much much much better compared to how my Kiowa turn out after completion and yes.. Spike, Thanks for the correction.... i'll edit it momentarily so that other dont get confused over it like i did... as for the undercarriage, i already painted light gray as i think i saw it in another forum someone suggesting to use Light Gray. Noted on the location of the BOZ and Skyshadow... at first i thought they are interchangeable. thanks again... :) kuman

  15. thanks for the information guys... from google image.. i can find the emblem for the AMC (their new one without the cross) anyone have any lead on the one with the cross? and the below for the United States Army Test and Evaluation Command (from wiki) again anyone have lead of the original emblem back in the 60's when they still use the name "Army Aviation Test Board"? as google yields no image of it... thanks in advance for the help.. kuman
  16. I'm interested in doing this scheme out of the Trumpeter offering of the CH-47A Chinook in 72 scale. can anyone give me some detail of the squadron or user of this scheme? The kit layout didnt give too much detail on the actual user of that scheme. Thanks in advance kuman

  18. i just found this awesome build... so any guide on how to do the blade-support? on a real helo, the support-beam is screwed onto the blade? got any picture of the connection between the support and the blade? thanks man.. looking forward to a guide on making those support beam.. i just love folded-rotor-blade!! kuman

Matt, thanks for the shot.. the color call-out you mentioned above is also very useful indeed. i think i read somewhere that the Tamiya XF-4 also a close match to the chromate color. i'll try to source for some of the color you mentioned locally and see if i can find it else will need to mix and match then.   20. hi Matt... i'm building a OH-58D and the scheme you posted above is very nice. care to share some more pics of the above OH-58D as well? and the yellow is Chromate color right? anyone know of the mixture or the equivalent paint for Gunze or Tamiya Acrylic? thanks in advance kuman
  21. hi there.. hope its not too late.. i found this site when i was looking for reference for my build... its not an "A" but a "D" i hope this can give you some idea on how he build his with all the lights HTH:D Light-up a 1701-D and dont forget to browse the whole site.. its a good reference on how to build a Star Trek starship kuman :D
  22. @scott & matt - January isnt too far away, i think i'll wait and in the meantime i'll follow ur suggestion to build it first and wait for the decal to be release. Hi guys.. hopefully i ask this in a right channel... i found this while looking for reference for RSAF Tornado. and i have this kit but its 1/72 scale... i wonder if there are any decal out there that depict the RSAF Tornado in 1/48 scale? in Hannants i found this decal from Carpena with the below description is this the decal suitable for RSAF Tornado in 1/48 scale for the above scheme? does anyone have the instruction or know where i can find it for that Carpena Decal? need to be sure before i proceed with the purchase. thanks in advance
