  1. Hi Steven, I do - from the later issue, but I think they are the same. The quality is not as good as Superscale offers. cheers, Tippe PS. the sheet is available if needed...
  2. My 2012 consists of 5 models: Revell 1/48 Bf110G-2 converted into a G-4 by the aid of: Cutting Edge control surfaces Cutting Edge engines Radar antenna at the rear from a Dragon Ju-88G Main radar antenna Dragon Me 262A nightfighter Radar equipment inside the cockpit Dragon Me262B Eduard photoetched parts Exhausts from Owl Wing fuel tankd from Eduard Revell(Hasegawa) 1/48 F4U-7 straight from the box except the spark plug wiring scracth built: Revell(Dragon) FW190G-8, only Eduard Photoetched parts added Revell(Dragon) FW190D-11, carburetor intake from a Dragon Ta152H, engine im
  3. Hi Cairnsy, that's what I was afraid :) And lesson learned, keep on focusing what you think you're good at... I'm mostly interested in WW2 planes, but there are a couple of helicopters which are hard to resist, Mi-8, CH-47 and so on. Most probably I'll purchase the BIGED set from Eduard and built the model otherwise OOB :) Greetings from the middle of snow (e.g. Finland) and thanks for your help. - Tippe -
  4. Thanks Jan for the info - I wish you could scan the whole photo :)
  5. Hi Jan, Planes, Names & Dames by Larry Davis (Vol III) has a phot on the page 43. Even tough the helicopter is only partially shown in the photo, there is the pitot tube visible at the nose (not at the roof top) typical to UH-1D (UH-1 Huey in action page 27) cheers, Tippe
  6. Hi Chris, thanks for the info. Does chord size mean the width of the blade? There are some sources claiming that the squere opening at the front of the rear rotor pylon didn't exist on C-models (There is an optional part "L1" to cover that opening). It looks like the engine dust/debris filters where similar in both C and D? chhers, tippe
  7. Hi! An unbuilt Trumpeters 1/35 CH-47d entered my stash of kits a couple of days ago :) Because my knowledge is only based to the Squadron's in action nr. 91, and there are not so much drawings either, I'd like to know, would it be possible to convert D to Vietnam-era C? Any ideas where to find reference material? Thanks fo your help in advace, Tippe
  8. Have I understood correctly, that these "overtrees" does actually contain a complete Mig-21MF -kit except instructions and decals? -Tippe-
  9. Hi again, sure of cource - it's a nice two piece pre-painted thing as usual from Eduard nowadays. -T-
  10. Hi Eric, it does contain a new seat, harness, bits for improved pitot tube, a lever for rudder, pedals, several levers for the cockpit, a grid for the carburetor intake and few other accessories for the cockpit. All together 29 different parts. Made by Eduard 2010. Cheers, Tippe
  11. Hi Eric, I've purchased mine from http://www.kolumbus.fi/martti.kuivalainen/engindex.html The product code is : KPE48001 Fokker D.XXI Mercury SUOMI SPECIAL HOBBY. They are equal to Eduard's FE series - a nice, simple set of etched parts - highly recommeded. Actually, you can't find them anywhere else but from the news list, but please send him e-mail - it should work. Any questions, please let me know Happy Modelling, Tippe
  12. Hi! This is my first attempt to built a plane in 1/32 scale in 15 years. Actually this project has began in last February, when I started with the cockpit. The cockpit reached its half ready phase in last August. Then I continued with wheel wells using the older Eduard photo etches. I wasn't too happy with the results, so I took a step backwards, removed all the bits and started to rebuilt the wheel wells on January. Hopefully I haven't exceed the 25% ready phase too early... board side of the cockpit: starboard side: Half ready wheel wells: The canvas is from RB. And now I'm wo
  13. Hi! I've converted Tamiya's model into a Fiinnish one actually twice without aftermarket items. The nose-extension is quite easy to make, and you can modify the spinner, if you don't have a better one in your spares box. The nose has completely different panel lines - Kagero's Buffalo book has lot's of lin drawing - however, I don't know how accurate they are. In a Finnish model magazine (Pienoismalli) they said Tamiyas model has some issues with the wing profile, but I'm happy with the results. If I manage to take few phtos of my old BW-378 "otto wrede", I try to post them to this f
  14. Hello Martin, I have the CMK's set too. If you compare the length of the engine to Airfix's 2-stage Merlins, CMK is appr. 3 mm too short. Practically speaking it is impossible to fix. The air intake below the engine is too small too. PD's exhausts are better. I've found new 2-stage engines from Paragon Design. They are my favourites. They have more or less same dimesions sa Airfix's Mosquito. If I compare CMK's engines to PD's or Airfix's ones, the difference is similar to BF 110G's engines from Revell/Monogramm compared to Cutting Edges resin engines. HTH, Tippe
  15. Hello! Nice to see I'm not alone First I purchased Tamiyas Mosquito mk. B. Together with CMK's detail set. Just to find out that the engines are a bit too short and canopy is very difficult to use. Lucky to find Airfix Mk B. Rudder has lower height. Engines are longer than CMK's and the canopy is a little bit better too. And it contains the bulged bombay as an option. Just to find time and place for two Mossies... cheers, Tippe
