No idea. Not a squeak from them about their 1/48 kit. Maybe @haneto may have a clue? Mark

Disclaimer: this isn’t my build. I lifted off the AMK Facebook Fan page. It was built by Taiwanese modeller 樊成彬 (Fan Cheng Pin). Mark

First completed build is out. Mark

Thanks for sharing your experience working with Great Wall Hobby. However, this thread is about AvantGarde Model Kits aka AMK. Mark

Thanks for organising this group, Terry! Really nice to see those builds going. Building without instructions must really be a challenge. Mark

Not sure how feasible that would be if lots of photos are posted plus the feedback in the descriptions and comment sections. Mark

Looks like an Elta 8222 jammer pod. Available here: https://air-graphics.co.uk/shop?keywords=F-111&olsPage=products%2Fac-055-elta-8222-ecm-pod Mark

Yup. The decals for weapons are provided so it’s a pretty good bet they’ll be included. What concerns me, however, is the lack of decals for the LANTIRN and TARPS pods are a sign that they may not be included. Mark

Regarding the TDDs, the 4 that are on the M are in line with the fins of the missile while the 2 on the F are offset from the fins. Mark

Wonder if @Sio will give away another kit for the first person to post on page 300 😂 Mark

Much thanks for the kind words guys. The opacity of the decals were fine. Can’t really tell the difference between the areas where the decals were used versus those that were painted white. The main issue I found was that unlike other decals which I’ve used so far, these tended to tear rather than stretch slightly. This meant that I had problems laying them on areas where they went over vents and grilles. Mark -
Pre-production kit being built. Hips don’t lie. Mark

Noticed that the decal sheet has no markings for the LANTIRN pod and GPS-guided munitions. Hope these are included as the LTS and guided bombs were a defining feature of late model Tomcats. Mark

I’m not sure how much blame you can assign to GWH for not including Bombcat weapons and stores here. The marking options in the box are for F-14Ds before It was commonplace for fleet Tomcats to be assigned the A-G mission. Mark

Hi Rod, I painted the anti-glare panel. Hi, Kit decals were easy to use. I applied them on gloss-coated surfaces and had no issues with silvering. They reacted well with the Mr Mark Softer which I use for all my decal applications. Hi Jonathan, Thanks for the kind words. I used Mr Color 315 which is listed as FS36440 flat gull grey for the upper surfaces. Mark -
This is my 1/48 Tamiya F-16C Block 52 Viper dressed up in the markings of the Republic of Singapore Air Force's Black Knights aerobatic demo team. Base kit used was Tamiya's F-16C/N Aggressor/Adversary kit as it has parts to build all F-16C blocks from 25 through 52. I modded the kit by using the metal pitot and AoA probes from Tamiya's F-16 detail-up set. I also scratch-built the smoke system pipe from the centreline station to the nozzle at the exhaust as well as the HMD sensor on the canopy. The seat was detailed using Fine Molds' plastic seatbelts for ACES II seats. Static dis

Lol. F-35 going down in flames. Reminds me of Kitty Hawk’s Su-35 boxart. Mark

Don’t forget the ECM blisters under the wing glove. Mark

Here's a photo of one being loaded. Not sure how helpful it is though. Mark

Hmmm. The Wolfpack adapter is meant for the Super Hornet. Will it fit a legacy bug? Mark

That came out looking great! Well done! Mark

Ouch. That’s bad. Shape is totally off. Mark

Thanks for the info everyone! Regarding the AIM-7F, they are the ones which look similar to the M but with only 2 brown strip antenna along the side of the nose vis the 4 found on the M right? Mark
