  1. Thanks for the info everyone! Regarding the AIM-7F, they are the ones which look similar to the M but with only 2 brown strip antenna along the side of the nose vis the 4 found on the M right? Mark
  2. Maybe because they didn’t come out of the gate promising the Tomcat kit to end all Tomcat kits? Mark
  3. I’m looking to build a F-15C from the mid-1980s. Specifically 78-0531 from the 18th TFW operating out of Kadena AFB in Okinawa in 1983. For the loadout, I’m going for 4 AIM-9s and 4 AIM-7s which would be standard for that time period. So the questions are: 1. Which variant of the AIM-7 and AIM-9 would they have been using during that time? 2. Would these missiles be painted white or light ghost grey? Thanks in advance! Mark
  4. I believe he meant Portuguese Air Force. Mark
  5. That looks absolutely gorgeous! Well done! Mark
  6. No. That kit comes with a C nose and resin bits to do a SU. Mark
  7. Great work so far! Are you going to use the included cockpit decals? They fit a treat and really make the cockpit pop. Mark

  10. Vingtor did a sheet with this scheme. Not sure if it is still available though. Mark
  11. They are lacquers plain and simple just like Mr Color aka Gunze paints. Thin with lacquer thinner. Mark
  12. That’s really cool. Will you be using it with the recently-announced DCS F-16 that’s slated to come out later this year? Mark

  15. Thanks for the feedback and kind words everyone! Mark
  16. Been working on this one on and off for a while now. It is the much lauded Tamiya rendition of the venerable F-14A Tomcat. The kit was built with the addition of Fine Mold's plastic seat belts and weighted wheels from DEF Model. Painting was done with Mr Color lacquers and weathered with enamels and oils. Decals from the kit but they were a little thick. With superb engineering, this kit was a joy to put together. Feedback welcome and hope you enjoy the photos!

  18. I looked at some photos posted on FB. What Martin said was correct. There was indeed plastic from the Tomcat kit at the Alclad booth. However the plastic that was there was merely the weapons from the kit. Mark
  19. Hope they at least ship before the Chinese New Year else it’s gonna be a really long wait. Mark
  20. The Litening pod can be found in Hasegawa’s Weapon Set E. Eduard also does the pod but I don’t think it comes with the cheek station adapter. For the PIDS pylon, I don’t know if there is an aftermarket company which does it but it is included in some of the Kinetic F-16 kits in plastic. Hope this helps! Mark
  21. Contact Lucky Model directly. Mine was missing the clear parts and they got me squared away rather quickly. Mark
