  1. Thanks for the cranium up Pep, scooped mysel up one today...I think this might get bumped to the top of the build pile as I'm anxious to have one in my collection!
  2. Now I'm confused again, so let me get this right VFA-86 has changed air wings now as they are coded AC- and no longer NE- must be recent and are they a east coast squadron still based at Lemoore?
  3. Out of curiosity, I understand you said you might be placing some resin on EBay, so my question goes would you happen to have any Shull24 LAU-128 F-15 rails-I'd like to buy directly from you as I don't have Ebay.
  4. I'd like to snap up a copy of one of these myself but I can't come to terms with shelling out $60-70 bucks for a copy- anyone happen to know of a source offering a cheaper price for them to be had?
  5. I wish some were made in 1/48 Gonz, I still want to build my Testors bird but the lack of an additional seat for the rear is making me put off building it😞
  6. Based on looking over my world air power journal volume 36, Petes listing seems to reflect the common loads carried by Aviano birds- with it further providing that the units jets always carried a " diverse range of weapons load outs, optimized for swing missions, whereby a No Fly Zone patrol could turn into a urgent CAS mission." Mk82s, CBU-87s, along with GBU-10s and Mk66 in the AFAC role were carried, so I'd venture to say you could load it out in any one of these combinations as the jets were more than likely not just loaded for A/A work solely.
  7. This may have been asked before but I'm finishing up my two block 50/52 vipers and I'm unsure the color to paint the panel as it appears in pictures, my guess is lt. Ghost, any confirmation and help is appreciated. TIA
  8. Springtime indeed!!! These look fantastic-Finally those Super CAGs will be mine and my Echo already has L. Ghost applied...time to get it fully dressed!! πŸ˜‰
  9. Has a aggressor look to it of course but I like it, big contrast to its scheme from last year as I was lucky enough to see it in person at Martin State-and the flying demo was eyewatering, that jet was thrown around the skies of Baltimore!!
  10. The Air Hobby Shop on Rt38 in Mt. Holly has a phenonomenal selection of kits and aftermarket decals, along with supplies and beautiful static mounted models of local KC-10, C-17 and KC-135 of the units at McGuire, among others.
  11. No worries, your around these things way more than I could ever dream of-occasional Airshow for me if they decide to show up-but the good news is now I know I can paint my light grey Langley birds seat black. Would this apply to all fighter eagles Jake? Or case by case such as MSIP, active duty versus guard units?
  12. Hey Jake does that apply to all light grey Eagles or do variations exist as often we see, the reason I ask is in Ken Middletons recent photos of Lakenheath 493rd birds at Nellis Red Flag, the close up shot of the double MiG killer looks to show its ACES II to be all black.
  13. Gonz- I have the twobobs "Let's Roll" AC vipers if you don't find the afterburner decals. Yours if you want them.
  14. This is unique and looks especially exceptional as a diorama...job very well done, looks just like a flight line and you nailed the euro 1 scheme!!
  15. Does look bad A!! Would look even better next your fantastic T-bird T-38 you did up recently!! On a side note they have an F-4E done up in T- bird livery on a pole at the entrance to Vetrans park in Hamilton, NJ...if memory serves me it might even be number 2, although as I understand it, that actually airframe never served with the team...I should've taken pics
  16. Fellow ARCers, I'm laying out some pre-planning for my Testors 1/48 Bronco, and I know Testors goofed by not adding a second rear seat, so my question is what type of ejection seat was used in the bronco and does any other aircraft use the same...and if so what kit could I use to salvage the seat from. Finally I'm interested in placing some rocket pods on it, where might I source these...fireball models or some helo kit? TIA
  17. Got my Nas Oceana review decals in the mail today...these things are simply amazing!!!! The color and print are jawdropping
  18. Mark from my understanding they meet at the national guard armory on York road in Towson just off the exit for York road on 695- if memory serves me it's the 2nd Thursday of every month. Your right about nothing in our area here in northern Baltimore-about the only trade close is hobby town in Parkville center...there is a hobby lobby in Columbia, haven't been yet so I can't speak of it.
  19. Are you referring to the old wise avenue hobbyshop in Dundalk? I think they folded also. Mostly trains in there the one time I did stop in there a few years ago.
  20. There used to be Overlea hobbies here in Parkville, but the owner closed shop about 2 years ago. There is a hobby town in Parkville shopping center off Joppa road, prices are a bit high and just one aisle of kits in the back, every once and a while a gem is found on the shelf, got a Hasegawa F/A-18A/C for $40 bucks before. Their paint and supply section is pretty decent too- where I get most of my paint when finishing a kit but as Whitey alluded to, I mostly purchase online these days. Middle river hobbies off Carroll island rd in bowleys quarters used to stock a few kits but they have since f
  21. Just clicked send on my order for NAS Oceana review and much needed and perfect timing F-16 mask!! Another release knocked out the park Geoff, these look gorgeous!! Keep doing what you been doing Sir.
  22. Jennings- Are you saying cut the backing off of the decal, how about small lettering or stencils, can you elaborate.
  23. 459th and 108th look good, might have to bite on this now and add a 135 to my C-17. These look amazing but I want your 1/48 OV-10 decals as we'll...decisions ...decisions hmmm
  24. Gonz, Shoot me your mailing addy again and I'll drop these in the mail tomm.
  25. Gonz, I used to catch them flying over my neighborhood in trenton both on their way to Mcguire and I''m assuming westward to PA all the time. Funny thing about being a kid and fascinated with military aviation is I recall how I could hear the F-4s coming before they flew over and I would stop whatever I was doing and make a mad dash out the house looking desperately skyward to find them, my family would just smile and shrug it off as my true passion and jet crazed!!
