  4. Love that Swede scheme.
  5. Thanks! I've done a Polish scheme, would love to do some others but I only have 1 other SV-51 kit.
  6. And here are some of the scheme's I've done for the '51 http://www.hungrylizardstudio.com/sv51/svpage1.html
  7. Started a new thread to keep this one clean for the YF-19s.
  8. How would you finish your Hasegawa SV-51 kit? Have at it... Zip PS file can be had here
  9. Consider it done...in a bit...me need breakfast.
  10. oooh, spiffy. If I PM you with an email can you zip me an Illustrator version of the line work? I'll trade you a SV-51 linework....
  11. Thanks. The Iraq photos are from Vern who's over there for the next couple of months. IIRC he's a F-16 crew chief. The chipped looks is really three layers of paint. The base material layer, consisting of various Alclad paints, tan, and some carbon fiber decals. Sealed that and salt masked the entire thing, which uses water and a dribble of salt to mask the material layer. Then a few colors of Tamiya. Rub the salt off (it'll stick better than you'd think) and seal it. Give it a coat of Hairspray (which I've now seen I got a bit thick in places) and paint over with red. The hairspray acts as

  14. As I continue to buy new kits I find myself strng @ older ones wondering why I bought them. So I decided to put them up for sale. 15. I've got a list of kits for sale here. Macross, Votoms, Gundam, Star Wars, Star Trek, Dorvack, tanks, Luft '46, Ma.K, etc.
  16. On Ebay. I prefer PayPal, ship via USPS, and will ship world wide.
  17. I was 3 when those came out. Built the UFO. Rebuilt it a few years later as something else. My bashing came early in life. As a note, on a purely inflationary basis, those kits would run $8.85 today. IIRC I can buy some no-grade Gundam for about that with better fit & engineering.
  18. With the cheek buldges? Yeah and the exhaust pipes up front. Space Nazi's?
  19. There are a number of cargo aircraft with a simular profile to the C-130 such as the AN-72. Now as far as finding a model of one.... that I'm still working on.
  20. While a bit spiffy looking it's lacking in one thing that most modelers are demanding, detail. As for the contest, Allen actually preferred illustrations over actual models, as they would have to be re-mastered anyways. Then there was the whole issue of designs that could be mastered cheaply enough (which is why I made the honorable mentions). Here's the results.
  21. Got everything in the suitcase packed for an explosion. Carry-on is packed a bit lighter but in such a way that if need be I can prove to the TSA flunky that it's just a model. The tough part has been paring my toolbox down to fit, and minimize the weight.
  22. That'll be in the carryon. In fact, the box it'll be in is my carryon. The Phaser Type C mk IX will be in the suitcase along with a few of the more sturdy kits.
  23. Well I'm about 2 steps up from gibbering idiot. Test packed one suitcase (we're flying in this year). GTG. Wondering what the security folk will think of this.
