  1. Here are the RoG colourtables, downlodable as PDF: http://www.revell.de/en/products/model_kit...x.html?&L=1 HTH.
  2. The Airfix Kit is the best Mig 29 in 1:72. Finely engraved, very good detailed. Its like the Su-27 from Airfix, but a little bit better. Sadly this kit is looooong OoP. (Hello Hornby Guys.. wanna make Money?? <_< ) Second place is Italeri. Good detailed and engraved.

  4. Just use Gunze´s own "Mr. Metall Primer" as a primer for the Metallic Colours and for sealing them. This will prevent the paint from peeling off during masking and handling and seals perefctly with a nice sheen. Gunze´s buffable metallic coluors are great stuff, superior compared to the alclad stuff, if used properly.
  5. News... After a few Days, the mold release Agent does not show any reaction with the polystyrol from the CD Case. I agree with terryt, it really seems like gasses are being expelled by the resin. And, also, the figure that i primed with Gunze´s Resin primer (Strong Solvent / Thinner) creates noticebale much more fogging compared to the figure that was painted in Tamiya acylics only. Meanwhile i also have called the company that produces the Resin and told them about the problem. A technican will call me back... At the Moment i am thinking seriously about make the switch from Resin Cast
  6. Don´t blame the Importeur. Trumpeter´s prices are rised over the last years also her in Germany. One of the first Trumpert kits i see on the shelf in my Hobby shop was the IL-28 Beagle in 1:72. The Price tag was under 10,- Euros... A few years later, the Vigilante in 1:72 sells for 18,50 Euros. My thought: "DEAL!" About one year later the Wyvvern in 1:72 sells for about 28,- Euros. That´s the same price as a Hasegawa F-4 / F-14 in 1:72 here in Germany. My thought: "Hmmm.. a little bit expensive... Is Trumpeter to start rising prices?" But now... The Tu-95 Bear in - 1:144 - Sel
  7. Sorry, i forgot to note that i dont use super glue. I dont like super glue... <_< Instead i use 2-part epoxy glue for resin parts. No, i dont wash the resin parts. Because Pilot Figures in 1:72 are so tiny and i am always in a hurry... Yes i am using a mold release Agent, of course.... Hey, that´s a good hint! CD cases are made from Polystyrol, right? I will make a litle experiment with a CD Cover and the Mold Release Agent. But ist´s still odd that the "Fogging" problem occurs weeks after the canopy is closed. Seems like something "Vapours" out of the Resin. (?) Any ot
  8. I need a little help with a very "Funny" Problem: My 1:72 scale Jets are equipped with self cast Resin Pilot Figures. Some copys of Fujimi and PJ Productions figures. However.. I expirienced a Problem two times: After a few weks, the Canopy looks "White frosted" from the Inside, exactly like mared with liquid plastic glue, exactly above the head of the figure. This happend only if the distance between the head of the figure and the canopy was very tight. Smaller the 0,5 mm for example. The solution ist to crack the Canpy open, polish the inside and refit. So: Whats happens t
  9. @ Chox: AFAIK, the RoG Lightning will be -sadly- a rebox of the old Frog / Hasegawa tool from the 60´s with raised Panel lines. But here are the good news: http://www.modelforum.cz/web/view.php?naze...anku=2007010011 MPM has announced a new tool EE Lightning for 2007.
  10. Academy and Hobbycraft are the same Mold. The quality of the Academy Kit is as good as every Academy kit. Good details, fit, and engraved panel Lines. I dont see much difference between Revell / Academy. In fact, the Academy Kit seems to bee a VERY close copy of the Revell Kit. Beside the arrengement of the parts on the Sprues, the parts are nearly identical. Take a Look: Revell: http://www.modelingmadness.com/scotts/korean/f89dpreview.htm Academy: http://www.modellversium.de/kit/artikel.php?id=1499 I have both kits, the Academy build and the Revell in the stash. Personally, i dont
  11. Here is the Link: http://www.spielwarenmesse.de/ The date for the Toy fair is 1.- 6. february. Unfortunally, only Professionals (manufacturers, dealers, distributors, press) could visit the fair. Make sense. Imagine some "Nitpickers" will siege the dragon display with torches and ropes in their hands and blaming them for riveting the 1:32 P-51 Mustang Kit... ;) "Riots on toy fair".. the press headline at the next day... :) And that´s just one example what comes in mind if you thinking about opening access to the toy fair for "everybody"... B)
  12. This kit is announced as a new Tool, A.F.A.I.K. Take a look here: http://www.modelaircraftmagazine.com/full_...s/info/_new.htm H.T.H.
  13. HANNANTS carries them all: http://www.hannants.co.uk/search/index.php...%5B%5D=code+asc hth
  14. The fit between cockpit and fuselage is critical.
  15. According to my RAL color fan, http://www.ral.de/ RAL 7001 Silbergrau (Silvergray) is a very "Average" gray. Neutral Gray FS 36270 or Light Ghost Gray FS 36375 are very close. RAL 7031 Blaugrau (Bluegray) is a dark, very Blue gray. Tamiya XF 66 Light Gray is a extremly close match. RAL 7032 Kieselgrau (Gravel- or Pepplegray) is a light gray with a little Brown / Sand hue. Gull Gray FS 16440 or FS 36408 are very close.
