I'd go with the green, but not zinc chromate green. More of a field green. Floyd

US Helo Seatbelts - New Product
Floyd S. Werner, Jr. replied to 11bee's topic in Helicopter Modeling
This looks fabulous. I would say that if you are going to add them to a Cobra, Huey, Loaches, Kiowa or early Kiowa Warriors, that you leave off the end and crimp the paper on the end of the shoulder harness. They don't use the metal ends like shown. The fabric is sewn into a loop. The rest however is perfect for US Army helicopters up through the 1980s. Apaches and Blackhawks have five point harnesses in the front. Floyd -

Took the plunge for the SH 32nd AH-1G

Let me recommend Metallic Details. Great stuff. I don't believe they have the XM-35, but a lot of other really cool stuff. The Special Hobbies boxing takes care of a lot of the shortcomings of the ICM kit at less than $10 more. Some other good stuff should you choose to use it is the MicroDesign Interior and Exterior sets. I got mine off of eBay. I'll be starting this kit shortly. Floyd -

I just ordered a bunch of stuff for the ICM Cobras from Metallic Details. Thier stuff looks amazing, even better than mine. I bought TOW racks even though I have a bunch of them. The things you can do in CAD is superior to what you can do with scratch building things and casting them. I'm not ashamed to say they look great. I bought four sets. Their turrets look great. All of their rocket pods look impressive. I bought a bunch of them. I was hoping they did a better job on the landing gear. It looked perfect. I need both a early and late unfaired one. The Kelik s

Well they are the Fireball Modelworks on this one. The kit ones are okay but nothing to write home about. Let's see the Special Hobbies resin. I think CMK will eventually release the parts in a set. That will probably be the easiest way to get there. PM me. I have them but not enough to justify putting them on the website. They are left overs from the AH-1F Super Conversion, which I have to do to this kit to see how it works out. It should fit with a little bit of work. Floyd

There will be one on the IPMS/USA website. It is the AH-1G Late. See attached pic. Working on the figures from ICM right now. I have three Special Hobby AH-1Gs coming. I have to build one for a magazine so there will be more. I do love the kit. I think the Special Hobby one is the best of the bunch though. It includes all the resin and photo etch that the kit needs, except the main rotor dust deflectors. Luckily, I have those made up already. Floyd

Bases by Bill can make a base for you with plexiglass and they are beautifully done and relatively inexpensive for what you get. I love mine. https://basesbybill.com/ Floyd
