  1. What they said. I'd also offer up the Squadron/Signal book on the OH-58D Kiowa Warrior Walk Around written by me. It is not as up to date as what your friend flew but it is pretty close and you'll see what it is suppose to be like. Floyd
  2. It will have one Marine, at least, and a Navy one Floyd
  3. I have two sets of these and two sets of the Eduard PE parts and another two PE sets from a Russian company I found on Ebay that looked interesting. I'll throw all that I have at my next one which will have the M-35 system. I still have some Fireball Modelworks decals so I may redo Cindy Ann since I sold the last one. Speaking of decals, if you or anyone you know has any good pictures of an AH-1G in Vietnam or markings that you might like done let me know. No promises but if I don't have the photos then I can promise you it won't be done. I have John Brennan's books, all of th
  4. I knew they existed but haven’t gotten a set yet Floyd
  5. I can’t wait to see the Special Hobby release. I will be starting the Late one shortly. I am waiting on the Eduard stuff. I’ll throw all of that at the set. Hopefully Special Hobbies, CMK or Resikit will come out with those updates. While I’d like to, I just don’t have enough CAD guys that are willing to do that stuff. I’d love to do decals as well but again I’d need decal artists. The kit is far superior to the Revell one. It could have been better. I’m surprised no one has mentioned the lack of rivets or panel lines on the bottom of the tailboom. By th
  6. They aren't but if you email me directly at fwernerjr@comcast.net I can sell you a set. Floyd
  7. I can't remember. I measured the kit spacing and found some rivets that worked. MicroMark also produces decals for significantly less month. Floyd
  8. Here is my ICM AH-1G with Fireball Modelworks and Werner's Wings decals. This is a very early version. Werner's Wings Dust Deflectors were added to the hub. The rest is pretty out of the box. I did add Archer rivets to the underside of the tailboom and where I sanded them off. I would have rather had recessed rivets. This was a pain. Look for it in the August issue of Scale Aviation Modeler International. Floyd
  9. The parts are supposed to be on the way to me this week so it shouldn't take long. Floyd
  10. Kodiak, Cape Cod, Elizabeth City, Clear Water, San Diego, Sitka, Traverse City and Astoria. There are yellow birds as well as the red/orange and white as well. Some of the aircraft from "The Guardian" are included. Extra numbers both black and white are provided to do any tail number out there. Floyd
  11. We are shooting to release the set at the IPMS/USA National Convention. The decals are at the printers. The resin parts are still being developed. Floyd
  12. Yes it does. I used to sell the stencils separately for those that want to do more from the sheet. I found that not to be a good way to do it from a business point of view, because what would happen is I'd end up with a bunch of aircraft markings with no stencils. You have to buy decals in batches of either 250 (Microscale) or 300 (Cartograf). You can't just buy an extra 50 or 100 stencil sheets. Floyd
  13. The resin update I'm working on. The stencils are a no go unless you buy the UH-60-Workhorse of the Army set. Floyd
  14. Don't forget that Werner's Wings has a backdate set for the UH/MH-60A/L. Floyd
  15. I have these drawn up in CAD and included in the AH-1F Super Conversion set. I will have to see if they fit. They should. As I'm finishing up the cockpit of the kit, I do notice a few things are missing. First off, let me say that I don't like the XM-73 gunsight in the back seat. The kit is missing seatbelts and shoulder harnesses, the breakout knives (front and back), the fire extinquisher, first aid kit and canopy jettison handles. I don't think the early Cobras had the storage bag as I think they were part of the NVG era, to store NVGs when not in use. The cyclics and pilo
  16. A quick look at the sprues shows that it will also allow you to build an AH-1S(Mod) eventually. It is a good time to build Cobras. 17. I got mine and started it yesterday. So far the fit is phenomenal. So far. The shapes looks great. -The IR strakes that you are talking about below the exhaust are there. They are separate pieces. -As for the blue tinted canopies and the lack of ECU inlet in the doghouse, they were only on the very first models. It was quickly changed to clear and the Enviromental Control Unit (ECU) was added (thank God). -I didn't notice that the sand shields were missing. I'll have to repair that with some Werner's Wings parts. -I didn't have an issue with the XM-
