Tried to reach out to check-in but have not heard back.
Just wondering if anyone else has heard from Chris recently.
Hopefully all is good and he's just busy with life!
Hope he'll be back releasing product again soon.

OK, I dug through my spare and I have most of the Black Box set. I am missing the seat headrests and back frames/seat rails. Also the WSO/Radar Operator station is missing the side instrument panels. I don't know if you would still be interested, but I can part with what I have if it will help you out.
Hmmm, definitely helpful!
Any idea what you’d want for those bits?
Shoot me a PM and let’s chat. -

If can probably source the whole set from a grab bag I bought from Jeff Verswyvel at the 2005 Nats. He would sell grab bags full of spare molded parts, that make for good scratchbuilding components. Let me dig around and see if I can complete the set.
Thanks!! Let me know!

A close relative is the Escapac IG-2 seat used in the A-7 Corsair II. I like the Aires offering (set #4442). The seat is crisply molded with sharp detail and the head box profile looks good. Install a blanking plate over the recess for the upper D-Ring handle and you’re in business. The shape of the lower side pan (next to the pilots knees) is different, but this area would be much less noticeable on the finished model.Perfect.
Thank you sir! -
Appreciate the feedback Rich, Ron, Bill.
Need to check around who does IC-7 Escapac seats... I see a bunch of Skyhawk IC-3/, S-3 IE-1, and A-7K IG-2 seats but none for the TF-15A. Would one of those work for an "almost" option?
The only IC-7 I see is in 1/32. -

73-111 had a regular speedbrake with a stiffener on it. A model wheels were
the black ones and if I remember ACES II seats after block 11?? Might have been
later blocks but those air superiority blue Eagles were cool looking!
Cheers...Ron
So I don’t even need to shorten the speedbrake for this one? Score!
ACES II seats as the gentleman mentioned above.
A model wheels - in black.

Hey all -
I'm looking to potentially build one of those early "Air Superiority Blue" F-15Bs from the Caracal sheet.
Anyone know if I can achieve that with the Great Wall F-15B/D? Obviously some modification will be needed... trying to gauge how extensive.
Shorter speedbrake, different seats, different wheels I'd assume to start?
Thanks!

I'll be there.

I can't physically make it, what kits are you selling 😛

Gentlemen,
I am after Caracal's F-15 The Early Years sheet in 1/48.
This one in particular - http://www.caracalmodels.com/cd48150.html
I just want the LA jet with the rainbow tailflash, so if you can part with just one, I'd be set 🙂
Thanks for looking!

Contact Jeff Garrity at rareplane detective, as him to keep an eye out for one for you. I’ve gotten several long out of production vacs from him this way. Sometimes it’s taken a year or more but he’s come through in the end.
Thank you!
Emailed him...

Gentlemen,
Anyone have one of these kicking around the stash that they'd let go before someone inevitably releases an injection molded one?
Preferably with the resin detail parts...
Let me know!

Hi Antony!
With all due respect to Ken, I see that he jumped to the wrong conclusion. This hinge is almost in place when compared to a real aircraft.
Best regards,
Sergei
Thank you Sergei - that's what I was after.
