  1. hmm....i'm not sure about your putty....but both Tamiya (used to) and Gunze sanyo (still does) sell already dissolved putty....Tamiya's was called Tamiya Dissolved Putty, and Gunze's is called Mr. Dissolved Putty (good stuff) hope this helps =)
  2. (i'm taking a complete educated guess here) when a plastic model is taken out of it's metal molds, i'm sayin' that there's probably some sort of an "ejector pin" that is used to tap it out....from one side, and some maufacturers are really careful about where they place the ejector pin holes and how hard they press to get the plastic out....i'm assuming this is what causes it
  3. is there any relation between you and Phantom Phixer????? just wondering...=)
  4. lookin good...and very complicated O_O

  6. Your hornet's so realistic, that for a moment, i thought you photographed a real hornet at le bourget, ....then i realized that that engine cart looked familiar....and i was like "whooooaaaaa...." =)

  9. Chris Bryne was a pleasure to deal with. He provided excellent service (provided scans of all decal sheets that I wanted, and was patient when i constantly changed my mind :D ) Chris's motto, "The proof is in the pudding" He even sent me a scan of the shipping reciept....now THAT'S good customer support right there. Any1 will find Chris to be a very nice guy

  11. good point...i think a baby could do more to the kit cockpit with sheet styrene and other stuff than that guy can do with that cockpit set....=^[
  12. I *strongly* disagree with this statement. Canopy. Not enough peak, and what's there is too far aft. Carve and vac form a new one. Under the lid, cockpit is a laugh - get a Lone Star resin replacement. where do I find a Lone Star replacement, i have the kit
  13. nope, not HiWayHobby, some hobby shop in NY...uncle lives close to it...more like toy shop with model stuff
  14. pretty sure trumpeter's got a Harrier in the works.. ;) my list is: F-22 Harrier Sr-71 U-2 F-117 S-3 Viking oh and a C-5....just kidding

  16. is that available in the US? and under what name?
  17. this may be a bit too much to ask, but would you consider doing a step-by-step article on how you did that? OMfG, that is the best hornet I have EVER seen...in any scale
  18. so ashamed to ask, but where can i get Alcad II? =]p
  19. i haven't used tamiya tape...but 3M Blue Painter's Tape, and 3M green electrical tape have worked perfectly fine =)...would like to try the Tamiya stuff though
  20. some Evergreen plastic stuff...and a Revell Aerobee-Hi missile (out of the really old kit storage room, which is open to anyone who wants to brave the dark basement and weird smells. I was talking to the manager's son (the manager wasn't around, and this kid had no idea what the kit was worth) and managed to get it for 10 bucks =)
