  1. Great job Leonard. This bird has been done by some in it's weather beaten state, but it looks great in a freshly painted configuration, too. Nice touch with the cockpit.
  2. Bis decals are available with an Eastern Express Mig-21Bis kit. Here are some decals for the Mig-21s in IAF inventory. Superscale decal SSD 72101 72 Mig-21, Mig-15 Decal AC# BC 821 SSD 720159 72 Mig-21 FL Decal AC# C1111 SSD 720473 72 Mig-21 MF Decal AC# C1584/C1852
  3. Polly - nice job on bringing another aircraft of the IAF to life. I never realized these birds were still flying. Is the IAF the last one to keep these in the air?
  4. Beautiful work. My only observation is that the green filet in the Indian tail markings face forward. Wonderful to see IAF birds. Any chance you'll show us the underside of the tri-color M2K?
  5. Thanks for the heads-up on the EE kit. I bought the EE and the Heller kits and am comparing. For sure the EE kit is not engineered as well as the Heller kit. But, I will compare with the scale drawings and post an update on accuracy. First looks show a lot (a lot) of flash on the EE kit and none on the Heller.
  6. Has anyone tried to build this model in 1/72? Any thoughts on how good/easy build it is? Any comments on accuracy and comparisons to the Heller / Italeri version would be helpful, too. Thanks.
  7. Any idea what the decal sheet will look like? From the box art it appears that there will be an Indian AF bird, SK414 of the Warlords Sqdn., but can't be sure. The box art is a photo taken by Peter Steineman that appeared in a calendar I used to have.
  8. Wonderful site and discussion. I have several Fujimi PF(early) and PF(later) kits and have found the nose to be an issue. I noted that you do not have a PF (later) (Indian Tiger, "FL" or Type-77) kit box art and decal/instruction sheets. I'll send those to you as I have already got photos of these. Thanks for taking on this work.
  9. Is the Tamiya 1/72 scale Mirage 2000C a reboxing of the same Italeri kit? If it is, are there any new or different parts/decals from the Italeri box?
  10. Murph, Mandrake, thanks. Very helpful indeed.
  11. I recently bought an opened 1/72 Fujimi Mig 21PF set on ebay that also came with some mystery armaments. I have attached a picture to give you smart folks a shot at figuring out what this stuff is. I'd be keen to know if the armaments are even for jets, let alone a Mig. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!
  12. This is an amazing build in so many ways. Not only is the subject matter unique, but there is no kit in 1/32 of this aircraft. Not sure if you have decided on the decals and markings, but if you are making the Indian version of the Gnat there are many, many, Sabre-slayer aircraft serial you can get from the www.bharat-rakshak.com website. If you need any asst. with markings, let me know.
  13. One of the wonderful aspects of the MBox range was the unique subject matter of some of its kits. One such kit is the Mystere IVa in 1/72 scale. Here is mine from the Revell era with kit decals except for the Leaping Tiger, which I made.
