  1. Well....they sold them out fast!!! Maybe I'll stumble onto one someday. Thanks for the help.
  2. I have looked and looked and can't find the WWP Apache part 2 in Detail book anywhere. It looks like it came out a couple years ago, but nobody seems to have it. Did it actually come out and was so popular everyone had to have it or what? Duane
  3. Thank you Dave, don't know how I missed that.
  4. When I got mine yesterday I was looking through the kit and noticed something, can anyone tell me where the parts are for the anti missile laser things that go in the circular attachment points on the rear of the fuselage aft of the troop door, above the cargo ramp on both sides? Its not in the instructions that I found and the other versions dont have it, other than the RAF C-130J-30 which has the different mounting but they don't show what goes on them either. Duane
  5. Mine arrived today also and mine looked like it got sat on by an elephant. Luckily everything appears alright and the clear tree is alright, but I did notice the plastic is very bendable. I also finally got the see the walkway decals Steve has been saying is too dark, hopefully some aftermarket decals will come out.
  6. I got one a few weeks back, glad I didn't do anything with it.
  7. Worked...can't wait for mine to arrive!
  8. How about some Finnish Air Force F/A-18s, the subject has hardly ever been done, there markings are very limited, but they have a couple of jets with a really nice tail art, they had a demo at RIAT a few days ago. Ive seen pictures of at least 2 jets sporting these. https://www.airplane-pictures.net/photo/1482997/hn-421-finland-air-force-mcdonnell-douglas-f-18c-hornet/
  9. I am in search of a 1/48 HobbyBoss F-111C for a project. Needs to be the RAAF F-111C boxing. Anybody looking to sell their's, please let me know. Thanks, Duane
  10. They use Cartograph and are amazing quality decals.
  11. I'm working on an A-10 right now and it really varies, not only edge but also shape and how far forward or back it is. The jet I'm doing, which is from the 190th FS, has more a soft edge, but doing my research, they had jets that were all over the place. I know this doesnt help, best thing to do is lock onto a jet and Google the s___ out of it. Duane
  12. I'll toss my 2 cents in on this and hope it gets some interest, 86-0053 in 466th FS markings. I got my incentive flight in this jet long ago. https://www.airliners.net/photo/USA-Air-Force/General-Dynamics-F-16D-Fighting-Falcon-401/1035246?qsp=eJwtjEEKwkAMRe%2BStUKlWKQ7vYAuvEBIPlqszpAJ6FB6d%2BPg7vEevIUkvRwfv9YMGqmATe60oczGz0LjQg/UdzINpsOw7bp9H7kk81MNpew4iiA79O/PprBfQpF2usV5FwC7NKZ%2BCK9TyTO3B5ynmdb1CxMqLf4%3D
  13. I have really wanted to do a UH-60J for a very long time, hope this all happens.
  14. I have ordered one from Lucky Model and have yet to see it so I ordered one from HLJ and got it in a week. The kit is nice, pannel lines are on par with Tamiya. I have started working on it, but haven't gotten too far. The biggest issue I've had is the joining of the two upper fuselage halfs, the joints are rather small to glue together and I had problems getting them to line up correctly, but it could have been a me problem. Otherwise parts have been lining up very well with little if any filler going to be needed so far. Next for me is the intake.
  15. Thank you all for the helpful ideas. It soulds like the thinner is the main culprit. I think I'll switch back to Testors, the stuff I grew up using, to finish this current project. Duane
  16. I really need help on probably the simplest thing, but for the life of me I cant figure out what Im doing wrong and I'm really about to give up and toss my current build all because I cant figure out what I'm doing wrong with my dullcote. I'm using Mr Color GX 181 for a semi dull look and using just Jasco Lacquer Thinner. I used to use Tesors but thats gone and I'm not going back. I'm doing 1 part 181 and 2 parts thinner, my psi is at about 10-12 and I keep getting the dust look. I understand the atomizing and I guess thats whats happening, but from everything I've been able to rea
  17. Looking forward to this one. One of my first models I built was a 1/72 Tutor in Malaysian markings.
  18. So I wonder how they are going to get that to fit onto C-5s and C-17s? Being a retired Aerial Porter I think of stuff like this. You can get 2 Blackhawks onto a C-17 easy, I think 6 or 8 on a C-5. If you can't rotate the blades and "wing" like an Osprey that might be fun.
  19. Oh man, really sad to hear this. I just bought his F-8C set a couple months back. Was really nice and great to purchase from.
  20. Hello, I am in search of the Isradecal IAF-82 1/48 decals, specifically the JASDF E-2C decals. If anyone has this sheet and doesn't have plans to use the Japanese markings I'd be very interested in hearing from you. Thank you, Duane
  21. Hill AFBs F-35s are ACC (Air Combat Command) fighters. The 4 Squadrons at Hill are all front line deployable fighters and have been sent on many deployments, most recently Eastern Europe. The reflecors are standard for use during training missions so Air Traffic Control can see them so there not issues with other air traffic. Its true they can be taken off, but on training missions where they are flying for bombing practice, its better to be seen by others.
  22. I have a need for a 1/48 Wolfpack F-15J set. If anyone might have one or at least the nose that's specifically on the Japanese F-15J, I'm looking to purchase or trade for one. Thank you. Duane
  23. A great trader! I had a question about the Mig-29 9-13. We worked out a trade for an extra part she had in exchange for what I could get. She sent pictures of the part and shipping receipt and was great in communicating. Duane
  24. Maybe 4477th TES (Red Eagles) T-38s please!
