  1. Oh, I forgot to say, the day I got out to the flightline we got about 2 inches of snow the night before, but by the time I got out it had melted, but made a great cover for the mountains. Since then we've gotten about 30 inches in the mountains.
  2. Hi all, this is my first time trying to post pictures here, hopefully I don't crash the forum! I took these shots about two weeks ago here at Hill AFB, Utah. Sorry for the delay but I had to wait for my slides to come back. I did take digital shots but I had the wrong setting and got 1 MB shots, great detail but can't but I can't put them on here. Anyway, the RAF has been here for about three weeks now enjoying the big old training range we have here. Hope this works and I've got a few more picture for you all if this works. Duane
  3. A few years ago I started a Fujimi T-2 then had to put it aside due to a two year deployment, durring that time Hasegawa came out with there T-2, I have not seen it yet, which one stacks up better? Thanks ;)
  4. I had an encounter with 80-0058 at Eglin AFB almost exactly one year ago on a flightline photo shot. I would have never guessed that one year later it would be flying as an aggressor. Would be interesting to see if the 65th gets any mig killers.
  5. Thanks guy's!!! I got to start using that search mode more often. B)
  6. After seeing that those evil people at Afterburner Decals are coming out with there 65th Aggressor decals I pulled out an abandoned Hasegawa 1/48 F-15E kit and started putting it together, but I just want to ask the experts out there if I can take this kit and use the D parts that are already there, like the tub, rear pannel, etc. and come away with a D eagle or is there anything in the D kit I've got to come up with? Thanks for the help.
  7. We had one fly into Hill AFB in 2003 and spend the night and I happen to get "very" close to it, was lucky enough to help whoever was on it offload some of there equipment. The pictures that Mandrake has is pretty much the same as what I saw, however it actually had U.S. AIR FORCE on the side of it under the main cabin windows between the first two doors, but I can't remember if there was any star and bar markings. I would have liked to have gotten a picture of it, but probably would not have made it off the base alive!
  8. Dose anybody have any experiance with the PAO at Elmendorf AFB? I am going to be headed there next month for my two week reserve tour and want to try and get out on the flightline to get pictures of some eagles, regular and mud hens. I know it's going to be a little early in the year for photos, but I'm praying for some good, clear weather. Thanks for any help
  9. I got my order from Fox One today, ordered both the new USAF F-4s and F-8E sheets and they are awsome! Thanks guys!
  10. Does anybody know if Paragon has or will re-release the flap set for the 1/48 F-4s? I've got one left and starting wonder if I should hold on to it and have a friend try to make a resin copy of it? Thanks for any news.
  11. Are there any decals in 1/48 that are of Spanish RF-4Cs? Either in the all gray colors or Hill Gray camouflage? Thanks for any help.
  12. It might have been a C-130J from the 146th Airlift Wing from the Channel Islands, California ANG. They fly with green tail stripes. I was over in the desert last year while they were there and there planes were a god send to us, half of the C-130s based where I was were from Dyess AFB, old E models and had a few times be grounded due to problems. The streched J models the 146th sent over allowed us to load more cargo and passengers on board, granted the loadmasters haven't changed...had to argue about everything we wanted to put on.
  13. Hey David, I'm back in town, email me at this address and I'll get you a couple of pictures. Bluejay207@aol.com Duane
  14. David, I am currently in California, when I get back I can e-mail you a picture of the shot and if you can you can post it if you can, I'm just a newbe and haven't figured out how to do high-tech things yet. Duane
  15. It will be interesting if this does happen, wonder which Aggressor Squadron the Air Force will reserect. As of why the ANG/RES don't do the aggressor stuff, the 466th FS here at Hill AFB is a Reserve Sqn and they do fly Aggressor missions, even fly with ALQ-188s. They go down to Nellis, sometimes directly from here and engage in Red Flag and then come home. However I doubt you'll ever see a dedicated Aggressor ANG/RES Sqn because of all the rotations that over to the middle east, don't want to confuse everybody with an Aggressor F-16s flying around. Duane
  16. I happen to be taking some photos of the F-15A that is here at the Hill AFB museum and it dose not have the dispensers. It's tail#77-099 so it's a late A model. It arrived here probably about 8-10 years ago I guess. I've got a belly shot of F-15A 76-062 from 2002 of the 122nd FS and it does have them. Duane
  17. I went through my collection of F-15 pictures and found one, it's back in 1988 from the 71st TFS, tail # is 82-0047. In Don Logan's F-15 book, 80-0060 was also shown, but it's also from the 71st. Sorry, probably no help to you, D's are hard to find pictures of because they didn't make a lot. Duane
  18. Hey Jorge, could you give me an email at bluejay207@aol.com I've got some pictures for you! Duane
  19. I believe the Hill AFB museum has a C-140 in there collection, if they in fact do I can try and get some pictures for you and email them to you. Duane
  20. Has anybody heard when DACOs F-15 book might be coming out? I've seen a picture of the frount cover, but haven't heard anything else about it. Thanks for any info. Duane
  21. I was digging around my pictures and caome across this shot of #82-028...seems this Eagle is no stranger to not so typical paint colors on it! This picture was taken NAS Point Mugu in July, 1987.

  23. Thanks a bunch for shing those. I was at Nellis this last weekend and was keeping an eye out for any signs of them, thanks. I'm sure the blue and gray Eagles are just around the corrner, better get those F-15 kits started!
