  1. Zvezda give humbrol paint matches on the instructions but they don't sound right to me. Can anyone confirm naval flanker colours in humbrol-ese?
  2. Ken, are those wing fences on the second sprue, bottom right inner frame, directly opposite the main gear legs? http://www.italeri.com/scheda.asp?idProdotto=2583&idCategoria=1&idSottocategoria=3 I have this kit inbound in the post in a Zvezda box, would've waited for the LMS to get the Italeri release if I'd known it was coming....
  3. Currently trying to decal an Israeli f-15 from the old Superscale/Microscale sheet 72-483 IDF/AF MIg killers. I only have a partial instruction sheet for the set and my first question is regarding national insignia. The sheet has 2 different sizes of nat insig, which is correct for what? Are they both used on each aircraft? I always thought Israeli aircraft used the same size in all positions? TIA Roy
  4. Is there such a thing? Or better maybe is what DON'T they use? Would rather not leave all those pylons empty. Have the Academy kit on the go in 1/72. I presume LGBs of some sort, just don't fancy all those cluster and 500lb iron bombs in the kit. TIA Roy
  5. Ok folks major thread resurrection going on here... Can someone confirm the following and correct me if I'm wrong? I want to build a 1/72 MH-60L as per Op Gothic Serpent. I'll need Werners Wings Nightstalkers decals, Armycast UH-60A/L upgrade set, Armycast M-134 Minigun weapon set, UH-60 kit (Italeri or Hasegawa?). Anything else? I also want to build a recent-ish HH-60G, Armycast also do a resin set for this, what base kit do I need and what else do I need? Is there any way to get an MH-6 from Gothic Serpent as well? What do I need? Lastly, are they black or dark olive helo drab? Thanks
  6. Thanks Murph. I was wondering about a direct NATO V Russian (pre- or post- Soviet) engagement as opposed to "proxy" battles and the kind of Soviet V US spyplanes (or indeed US V Soviet spyplanes). Also discounting the shootdowns of civilian aircraft that can (and has been) excused as mistaken identity or aircraft simply getting lost. A straight forward instance of a NATO member defending it's sovereign airspace with the forces used as designed. That kind of thing. Without getting political, I wonder should we also have to look at the underlying motives to the use of ultimate force in this c
  7. Is this the first time a NATO fighter has downed a Russian AF plane directly? Just wondering if there has been a precedent set for the shitstorm that's about to follow..
  8. Hi guys. Following on from reading a thread on Britmodeller regarding MH-60Ls, I saw reference to an Italeri Night Stalkers kit of an H-60. I can find an Italeri UH-60A/L Black Hawk,a UH-60 "Night Raid" and an MH-60K Night Hawk. I cannot find any reference to an Italeri Night Stalkers kit. This is regarding 1/72 scale only. Basically I need to know what kits or combined of kits I need to build the following in 1/72? An MH-60L as per Op Gothic Serpent? A UH-60L Medevac with external fuel tanks (as seen at RIAT)? Lastly, what was the version used in the TV documentary Inside Combat rescue? I
  9. Also interested in a B-2 if still available. I'm in Ireland though...
  10. Hi Tom. I asked about some 1/72 decals you had for sale earlier. Wondering if you still have them; they are the 2 wolfpack sheets 72-063 & 72-081. Email was sent. Cheers, Roy
  11. Hi Craig. Got plenty of Fujimi fuel tanks but no spare sticks. Pm me your address and I'll get a pair off to you. Cheers, Roy
  12. Tried sending an email; getting an invalid email error (both with and without the extra "a"!
  13. Dibs on the 2 wolfpack sheets 72-063 & 72-081. Email inbound.
  14. There is also the Irish Air Corps museum located inside of the facility that is Casement Aerodrome, Baldonnel, base of the Irish Air Corps. However, visits are by appointment only. It is always worth asking though, as the worst that can happen is they'll say no. Again a small collection (we have a small air arm!) Details here; http://www.militaryheritage.ie/research-guide/internet-research/business-directory/1092/irish-aer-corps-museum-heritage-project/ I also second the mention of Foynes. A small but interesting place for sure. Not certain if you would feel the trip out from Dublin to Lime
  15. I think all- or at least most- of the exhibits from the AAM section will still be on display, just scattered around a bit. Not sure about the B-52. I don't know where else it would fit.
  16. Great idea. Not sure if this is bad form, but I am looking for the F-4G Spangdahem from 72-071 and the F-4G 52TFW Hill Grey from 72-074. The only Wolfpack sheet I have is 72-019 which I plan to use most of. I do have loads more decals from Superscale and others though.
  17. Actually, can anyone remember something similar to this from about 10-15 years ago. I think it was called the modellers prayer or something like that. Or Desiderata for modellers. It was one long post that had a lot of this kind of sayings and some other gems (P-38 kits: Where else do you get to fill/sand/prime/repeat 3 fuselages for the price of one?). I'm sure I read it here way back then. I know I printed it off but i lost it before I got it laminated. (I planned to put it up in my workshop.) Anyone remember it?

  20. Due to high postage costs I will sell to CONUS only... (Even though I'm also listing dozens of decal sheets which will fit in a flat envelope for $5.)
  21. When finished the painting and decalling it all looked too clean. I then gave the model a wash. To make it look dirty.
  22. Thanks again folks. Top dudes all!
