Understand Kursad, I was just saying from an earlier reply. I appreciate you will do this scheme too!
Apologize for the interruption.

From there it was sent to China Lake and wore this scheme for a bit.
It actually wore this scheme till it's last dying day as a QT-38A on the Range at China Lake in December 1980. One of the best looking Bicentennial jets to fly imho.

There is also the issue of some of the aircraft being festooned with trademarked corporate logos - I am adopting a much more careful approach to these after some recent events and don’t know if I can include these.
This is a very important sheet for me, and curious if you have made any headway due to the trademark and corporate logo challenges.
When printed, I will purchase many sheets!
Appreciate any updates you may want to provide!

Paul, I agree with "I just like it!" Is a cool looking Jet for sure, and your VF-111 livery is stunning!
Now along the same lines for better engines how about a better coupling clutch system for the A2D-1 Skyshark. That would have been the Spad everyone would want! Brutal in looks and likely would have been a PHANTASTIC close air support weapon!
We can only wish at the time.

Oh yeah, I bought the Hobby Boss TA-7C plus an intake upgrade for the China Lake double FLIR bird! The only thing I need is an upgraded Windscreen and Canopy. Would anyone happen to know one available?
Great sheet yes indeed, but we need the A-7E sheet with VX-9 and the China Lake single FLIR bird!
Cheers from CHINA LAKE!

That's awesome that you were involved during that period! I hope I am more or less correct on the details.
I pride myself an F-35 simp, so these two potential sheets are exciting.
Many other differences besides sensors and the "Barn Door". And, it is not at Fort Worth now...

Here is a dedicated thread to something several users are talking about.
The F-35 prototypes remain some of the most colorful to date, and the the first of the Bs and Cs have actually been sent to pasture already! Without further discussion, lets get into the suggested list. This list contains prototypes and the first few EMD frames. It does not contain the X-35s.

Could always propose an F-35 "Early Years" sheet, including AA-1, AF-01, AF-02, BF-01 and BF-02.
Yes, I propose what Captain Tyler said! F-35 Early Years sheet! AA-1 to start it off!

YES, although I've done this YF-104A as I'm doing as many China Lake birds as I can, this would be a GREAT addition!

Looks like pretty good progress, and you are underestimating your skills with paint. Yes you are!
Are you folding the wings or will they be animated so to speak?
As has been said, looking mighty fine!
It's remarkable in your photos, I can't wait to see this in person!

About time for an update Elmo,
Where ya at? STILL want to be the one to take the photo's!

I'm well aware of the differences and I have altered the Meng kit to represent that nose gear door. Lots of things are different but no one so far has done a sheet with the markings for it.
I've been around it for years were I work, and completing a model of it with said markings is what I'm after. Many more for people where I work since the Tamiya kit is announced may be on my plate.
-
With the announcement of the Tamiya F-35A I would think a new sheet from you would be forthcoming, YES?
If you do a new sheet would it be possible to put all the markings that were on A/A-1 when it landed at China Lake for testing? You have some very nice decals of VX-5 from China Lake and since I work there, it would be a great sheet!
Thanks for at least considering it!

I've been using a similar design for a while now. My design has the fan directly underneath the filters (automotive HEPA filters) and there really isn't as much suction as I believe there should be, so I'm gonna look into a similar pattern as well. Thanks for the explanation habu2!
On another note for the actual inside where the painting will take place. Think about painting the inside a medium gray (or even dark gray) instead of leaving it white. It is tough to see the paint coming out of an airbrush with that white background. Seems like the correct color for light all around but it really makes it tough to see regardless how much light is there. I've experimented with different shades of gray surrounding and darker is better.
Cheers

Giovanni, that really looks sharp, can't wait to see it finished!

I have no idea what you said in this post but I got to go to the flight line and see this right after it was painted. Shortly after though it suffered an accident and may never return to China Lake. What a great scheme and what a very nice model!
The Italeri kit may not be easy, but it sure looks the part to me!
Cheers and Happy New Year!

Gotta be close to an update eh Elmo?
If any build needs one it's to see where you are at these days!
Cheers my good Man, and hope the new year has you and yours doing well!

Next on your list please!
A more accurate side piece where the flaps intersect when the flaps are up next to the fuselage. But them being down would benefit, and we could use that on the Monogram kit as well. I am going to order these for just that, try to fit them on my Monogram rebuild...!
