  1. Gorgeous! Planned this from the first day I saw it at China Lake! Cheers Larry
  2. That Second picture looks like it was taken at China Lake and I was there and have pictures. I don't know if they will scan with enough clarity, but it looks as though it did. The Pilots name is; Lt Daill Kraut. Picture is pretty small but here is a crop of the name and font. Cheers Larry
  3. A CMV-22B conversio for the sponsons will be needed right away. And then an F-135 Engine to be inserted in the cargo hold! Yep that is what will be needed.
  4. As the title asks, anyone heard anything about this? Would be nice to see one in a manufacturers arsenal. Cheers! Larry
  5. That is some FAST and damn good news about the Fuselage! You are being a little modest about your correction... It's a beautiful easy to accomplish correction to install. From the photos though, the surface seems a tad ROUGH especially next to your correction piece. When I get to my examples to paint I know the surface will have been sanded and polished out a lot, but man you shouldn't have to. Thanks for getting that example and showing us the news! Can't wait to get mine for that Edwards white wing and camo fuselage former T-Bird Phantom II!
  6. There is one song that will give me goosebumps everytime I hear it...!
  7. Does someone here know the BuNo's of the Super Hornets that are to become Blue Angel aircraft? Hoping 165780 will do duty with them... China Lake bird dontcha know.
  8. All is well up here in the desert, and I can see the pictures now. That windscreen is BEAUTIFUL! Now the hard part eh, PAINT! Cheers! Larry
  9. Hey Elmo, how ya doin during this mind blowing time in our lives? Just to let you know, I can't see any pics on my end. Can't wait to see them though Cheers Larry
  10. The planform of the wing was gorgeous! Intake not so much but that wing was fantastic!
  11. Very good question and would like to read the answer as well. Doing a Skyraider from VX-5 and don't want to hide the engine. I know it's my model, and I can do what I want to with it, but I'd like to display it as it would normally sit. Out here in the desert heat though, I would think they could have left them open, or removed them all together, but hopefully someone can shed some light on that. Cheers Larry
  12. Here is a good place to get Hypodermic needle tubing. https://www.mcmaster.com/micro-tubing
  13. The best drawings on the net are right here. Are they accurate, well you'll need to be the judge of that, but from what I have researched and held them against what Jun has drawn, they is pretty darned close. Again you be the judge and the tanks from Zoukie Doukie's Phantom II look close to the drawings. Hope this helps. Cheers Larry
  14. You might want to take a look at Jun's 1/32 Seafire and see how he managed to scratch build his contra-rotating props. If nothing else some really good inspiration to see! http://soyuyo.main.jp/spit47/spit47e-2.html Cheers Larry
  15. Exactly where we need to be Jeffrey! I've installed a set of your well thought out Zoukie Doukie correction pieces and though I haven't completed it yet, it SO adds to that Phantom look! Thanks for your eye! Cheers Larry
  16. Five that quick is truly remarkable, 4' or 4"s! I have a real problem leaving good enough alone, and stall frequently, when I do a model for a retiring person where I work. It just messes with me greatly not to rid that wheel well of that ejector pin mark that will never be seen once presented to the receiver! Or hahahahaha doing a full length intake (think F-35 that you can't even see the fan) and cover it in the end because you didn't notice your reference had intake covers, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Applauded for 1, let alone 5! Cheers Marine Larry
  17. Just a thought; how I flatten tires making them bulge at the same time and looking like they are really weighted down is with almost boiling water in a non-stick griddle with shallow sides. I've used parchment paper before on a flat electric griddle as well. This sucker is so big though, you'd have to have a pretty big flat surface for sure. The weight of it would surely lower that pressure (haha) just the right amount, bulging, and looking like it weighed 40,000 lbs. I'm not sure I'd wanna try it with one that is already complete either, but again, just a thought. Tis a beauty an
  18. Agree with the rest, this thing looks awesome! The only critique I have, the main tires need less air in them, looks like they have 500psi in them. Cheers Larry
