It appears to me that ZM may have used a British Spey engined Phantom to size up that misshapen rear end of the C,D,J,S. I'm sure there are skeptics about that too. Cheers Larry

I would be leery of using that caustic oven cleaner on an airbrush... To clean old paint from metal, or plastic use Mr. Color Lacquer thinner. That stuff will soften paint quickly and then rinse with regular lacquer thinner. Doesn't harm plastic either so stripping paint from a model is easy. Just my 2¢ Larry

Something you should consider casting are the vents next to the vertical stabilizer bases. The Monogram parts look so much nicer... I'm sure you have plenty to pull a casting from. I replaced the substandard Hasegawa vents with Monograms and it looked 100% better! Tamiya's parts don't look as good as Monograms either...
