  1. Week 8: Even more of the head frame and finishing the foot lubricators This metal frame will go under the black plastic parts of the head frame. That will complete the first "layer" of the plastic framing. Following that are two more "layers" to make up the full head frame That's it for now. Hopefully this is of some interest to other people! :D It will probably be a couple more weeks before I get any new parts.
  2. Week 7: More of the head frame and feet lubricators
  3. Week 5: Starting on the frame for the head. This will take many weeks to complete. The head is constructed with black plastic parts and metal parts. The first part is the very top of the head with a bearing held in place with a metal bracket.
  4. Week 4: More right leg parts, and the battery box that will be used for powering the electronics. Again, the silver round piece is a nicely cast metal piece. A lot of the parts for the leg are just test fitted at this point. Unfortunately, I wont be able to attach them permanently until much later in the build because of all the other pieces that will go into the leg.
  5. Week 3: Adding more to the right leg, and test fitting the eye pieces. The little circuit board is a test board that will be used to test all the various electronics that will be coming in future issues.
  6. Week 2: Starting R2's right leg. All of the silver parts are cast metal. The casting is really nicely done. Most of these parts are screwed together, but a couple needed to be super glued.
  7. Week 1: This is the screwdriver you get and the parts needed to build the diagnostics sensor. And the sensor done. Not much to it :)
  8. This is the new DeAgostini Build R2-D2 subscription, similar to the Build the Millennium Falcon from the same company. I was thinking about not posting it at all because there's really not much to it. You get some parts each month, and you screw or glue them together, and that's about it. There's not much room for customization unless you want to weather it, which I may do later on down the road. The parts are really well made, and everything is nicely laid out. The only real complaint I have is that there are a lot of screws of different sizes, and the build manuals don't tell
  9. You say its possible with Google, but how? I cant figure out how to make it work. Long story short, I uploaded a bunch of photos to photobucket. I have some of them in a custom album. The album shows that there are 45 photos in that album, but when I click on it, none of them show. I got tired of trying to figure that out, so I uploaded everything to my Google Photos, but now I cant post them here lol.
  10. You can see it in this picture Original Monty. Its the curved red piece right in the middle of the red guard. http://www.aircraftresourcecenter.com/AWA1...ors_4-29-01.JPG
