  2. Hi guys As the title suggests, I am looking for the engine fan front pieces from the 32nd CJ Kit if anyone can help me. Kind regards Anthony
  3. Hi Oliver Been through this dilema myself on occasion. Generally I like to try and add as much as I practically can. This ensures I dont atart making a mess of any painting afterward whilst gluing. Tough call, but only you will know how far to strip the engine back to paint yourself. However if you add or remove plumbing before painting I find that running my airbrush at a very low pressure with paint thinned a little more than usual stops that 'grainy' effect you get from the air/paint mix 'swirling' about inside details. I am sure you already know this sorry, I dont think someone of y
  4. Thanks Oliver, and thanks Tank. That video clip from Mr Archer was very interesting and informative indeed. Cheers guys
  5. Thanks Oliver I have the interior covered. The fuse is still able to be split, at the moment as it is still all interlocked together. Yes mate I will trim closely. Should I or do I need to, lay a coat of future down over the Mr Surfacer? I thought perhaps I could apply the rivets and then use sol & set with another coat of Mr Surfacer??? Always open for ideas mate! Cheers Anthony
  6. Thanks guys, really appreciate it!! The BK is definately my first love  and I am enjoying every minute I work on her again. Presently work slowed on her as I was asked to do a commission build (yes, I vowed I would never do another but this one will pay for the prop overhaul on my Auster T7 rebuild and I couldnt say no). Coupled with that my father has been ill and in and out of hospital. We are awaiting biopsy results on his right lung. He trained as a builder and potentially has asbestos issues..... Anyway, time will tell. In the meantime I have figured out the rivet situation (

I am building a 1/48 RNZAF Golden Skyhawk on commission for someone (although I said I would never do it again!)and am concerned about the decals. 1st the opaqueness of the white on the stripes and needing to change the shape/profile of the Model Alliance decal sheet on the nose section......... 13. Ok Photobucket is driving me nuts! I have crawled all over ex RNZAF FG-1D as discussed in the link many times before she left for the US for rebuild Wingroots were GSB Originally med blue but if you look closely you can see the Dk blue overpainted peeling off Interestingly all the cowl rings there in various schemes were all light grey inside like Avengers Wheel wells were GSB as were the legs. The legs had been stripped and repainted I was advised by the owner, but you could see evidence of GSB as well as it still being on the drag links Cockpit top half was black as was the
