Keith, A most impressive model indeed. The kit box is LOADED. I haven't touched mine yet, but I have caught myself eyeballing the contents quite a few times. Have fun with it. Sincerely, Jimmy Dickens

A satisfied SELLER on Ebay...........

William, my friend, you put up a good fight. You dug as deep as you were willing to....not a whole lot more you could do after that. I had an incident similar to this. It was a couple of years ago when PARAGON was a thing of the past and getting scarce, and I was craving wingfolds for the R/M 1/48 Intruder. I was sniping them in an auction, and decided that I WAS GONG TO WIN IT. I waited until there were about 15 seconds left and entered $100 as my maximum bid. I think the bidding was up to around $50 or $60. Anyway, someone had a deeper pocket (larger max bid) which meant I didn' -
I was just doing the typical EBAY browse, and came across this bid war. The auction ended already, but thought it would be a good conversation piece. EBAY DECAL AUCTION Looks like WRNJR put up a good fight. Sincerely, Jimmy Dickens

How do some people sleep at night??? If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.......so simple. I am doing my best not to twist off here. I will admit, I have gotten rude with others here before, but it was only after something like this happened. Sincerely, Jimmy Dickens p.s. and I was having a wonderful day

Casting metal gear for 1/48 R/M F-15E
Jimmy Dickens replied to Jimmy Dickens's topic in Tools 'n' Tips
I purchased all the resin/mold/metal materials from micromark.com. Here is the link. MICROMARK.COM They offer three different types of metal. Each one with a different melting point. I sprayed some EASE RELEASE on the first half of the mold to prevent the halves from sticking to each other. Thanks for that bit of information. I didn't know that Aeroclub made that gear. If I had known, I still would have tried to cast my own, especially since I require so many. It is cost effective and challenging for me. Like I said, I have 6 more to make for the F-15E, plus the nose gear. Sa -
Howdy all, I have had the pleasure of building one 1/48 R/M F-15E and really enjoyed it. Since I built the first one, I have aquired 7 more. My biggest complaint would have to be the landing gear. I have snapped the main gear many times, and the nose gear twice on my completed kit. I am obviously not the best at transporting and taking care of my F-15E. Anyway, I decided to try and make me some metal gear. I used the two-part mold system using RTV silicon. I won't go into great detail on the steps, instead, I will let the pics do the talking. Part of the form for the mold.
