  1. Hi all, Most probably a stupid question, but is the Hasegawa F18B Hornet "Test Pilot School" 1/48 scale kit a normal F18B or are there some external differences on it compared with a normal F18B? I would like to model an Aussie version of the Two seater and was wondering if this kit is ok for the job. Thanks guy's, Jeff.
  2. Looking great Kaan, especially the seat pads and belts, they look superb. What a pity about your F104, looking at what you have done with this cockpit so far i'm sure it would of been a nice model. I know what it is like having problems with clear flat coats, they sure can ruin a lot of good work in one hit! Jeff.
  3. Absolutely superb painting Leo!! This is going to be one stunning model. Cheers.
  4. I agree Hatchet. if you modelled that aircraft and put it in a contest or on a modelling site, people would be saying how unrealistic the weathering was and comments like,..." that plane must be two hundred years old".
  5. Absolutely stunning work Leo, Your paint work matches your construction work, both are simply first class!!! As quoted before, that cockpit has to be one of the best if not the best that i have ever seen. Keep up the great work, it is truly an inspiration to look at. Cheers, Jeff.
  6. Thanks a lot for all the info guy's, that clears it up for me. Andrew, i'll see if i can pick up that F2 kit.Thanks. Anthony, i was looking for the Brakeet kit everywhere after seeing someone else post a question on where to get that kit on ARC last year and i thought it would be a great model to do, i didn't know this kit existed at the time.Everyone said how hard it was to get. So i checked every hobby store i could find on the net but with no luck, rang around all the hobby shops i know of here in Australia, nearly even resorted to Ebay. Then one day i walked into Toms Hobbies here in S
  7. Hi Guys, From the info i have, the Has Brakeet kit seems to me to be a Block 30.I want to do a Block 40. My question, is the landing gear that comes in the kit the beefed up landing gear that is reqired for a Block 40? I know a lot of the other changes i have to make but i'm just still in a bit of a grey area with the landing gear not having any earlier Block models to compare it with. Any help will be appreciated, Dave Williams....Hatchet???????? Jeff.
  8. Thanks Bryan and Zactoman, two very good options i will try. Jeff.
  9. Hi guy's, I'm in a bit of a dilemma with my F117 i am building.I am getting close to bringing the two fueselage halves together and am not sure whether to install the clear panels that come in the kit for the FLIR and DLIR On the real aircraft there is no glass panels over these areas only a very very fine mesh that i think would be virtually impossible to replicate in 1/48th scale. So i am pondering over whether to install these clear panels or not.Iff i install them it would look totally inaccurate but iff i leave them off it would look more accurate but may look odd haveing nothing there
