I´d love to build a blue camoed F/A-18 Aggressor, Su-27-style. Are there any Decal-sheets out there? Oh, I forgot: I´m looking for 1/72 scale. HAJO

Sorry to ask, but what does 1L - 8R mean? I only know that runways are lettered with at least two digits (01 for a runway with a heading of something between 005 and 015 degrees, 08 would be 075 - 085 degrees), and that they are always numbered with a difference of 180 degrees - because you can use a runway in two directions. In this case it should be - in my opinion - look like either 01L - 19R or 08R - 26L. Unless you are referring to a total different runway layout. HAJO

Watching with interest, my NFH in a (still fictional, because not ordered yet) German Navy scheme is nearly finished. HAJO

Uops, didn´t knew the RAF is using german stencils... ;) See the "Rettung" in the yellow arrow above the "Rescue". HAJO

How did you paint the camo? I got the impression you used a method with applying salt?? HAJO

Nice! Any plans of selling copies of the SOC-R? ;) HAJO

Looking great, is that a photo-etched panel for the cockpit you are using? If no, how did you do that amazing detail? HAJO

Simply great! You´ll give them a drab coat? Because they look a bit shiny.... HAJO

A little teaser, I finished my Frelon some days ago: Overall a not too bad build, I´d say, of course there were a couple of things you won´t have to deal with when you´re building an "ordinary" model, but for a short-run kit: not too bad! HAJO

I can suggest to do some "plastic surgery": Just cut on the arms and legs and glue them together in the way you want it. After some experience you´ll get good results, trust me! HAJO
-
Helo 53, what did you do with the rotors of the Frelon? Did you just glued the main rotor to th ebase or did you add a mast? HAJO

Wardog, I will do a french navy Frelon in the modern camoflage, which is two different greys. Haven´t decided yet which paints I will use, but I will most likely see what colours are given in the new Revell NFR-90 for the french scheme and then do it may way anyway... ;) I will update you of my choice as soon as I start painting, which is at least some days from now. I use the Revell acrylics and will chose out of their range. As for polishing: I use a nail file which is usually used to polish nails. Then most likely the final finish will be done with tooth paste (as already mentionend by

Those RC-12s look good, I will add them to my personal wish-list as well... HAJO

The C-123 is of much interest for me also. I plan to build a "Black Spot" (AC-123K) someday to add to my Gunship-fleet (already have: AP-2E, AC-130E, AC-130H, AC-130U, AC-47). If you are interested in the layout of the Frelon front windows, check this model review. It´s in german, but the pictures will do the talking: http://www.modellversium.de/kit/artikel.php?id=8112 HAJO

Thanks for the input! I already glued in one of the exhaust covers, will propably need to cut down the otehr one to get them fit, as you described it. Won´t do much on the interior as I plan to keep the model closed - way too much work to make anything useful out of that. But you did a wonderful job! Have you done anything to the clear parts for the front? I saw at least one german modeller who changed the window-layout. He says the windows need to reach higher... HAJO

Any details about the Super Frelon? I´m currently working on that model and any additional advice will be surely appreciated. HAJO

Check www.plasticsoldierreview.com, there are a couple of sets with russian soldiers available. HAJO

Argh, a perfect model... but looks like AFSOCs version of the "Flying Dutchman"... No Crew on board! ;) HAJO
-
Cut off the M240 and glue them close enough to the M134s, I´d say... HAJO

The diver in your "testbed" looks great! Any details? What did you use for your water? Acryic gel? HAJO
-
Eric, simply wonderful! A great model, and very well explained the way you built it! How many days/weeks did you spent on this beauty? HAJO
-
Great pictures, but what the heck is a "gliderate" for a helicopter??? ;) HAJO
-
What scale? For 1/72 I can recommend to look at www.plasticsoldierreview.com to get an idea what figures to use. HAJO

I´d say small sponsons, but thats just me... ;) HAJO
