DET, what is the trouble with the nose? Bad fit? I plan to use the Italeri nose on my Zvesda, but will have as a sort of "practice project" the AC-130J on my list as next project. HAJO

Airfix 1:72 CH-47 part
Hajo L. replied to kg4kpg's topic in The Spares Box - add scale to your title
I don't have that part, but I'd try to contact the Revell "lost part"-customer service. Their older Chinooks or MH-47s have the same part in their boxes. HAJO -
Hey @DET1460, would you share your experiences so far with that conversion? (Maybe in a different thread). I plan to do exactly the same sometime soon. HAJO

Is there something special about "Green Monster"? HAJO

I purely build 1/72. As someone already mentioned, I'm "tuned" into that scale now. I did two or three 1/48 builds for friends and felt uncomfortable when "out of my scale". I just like having all my differnet subjects at the same scale for comparison. HAJO

I'm really looking forward to this kit. According to scalemates decals are for a Op Granby-version (Gulf War 1991) and for the legendary "Bravo November". HAJO

Cool! I did a VAQ-33 EA-7L some years ago and will be closely following your build! HAJO

Sounds great anyway! HAJO

1/72nd Zvezda AC-130J "GHOSTRIDER" 4th SOS
Hajo L. replied to A-10 LOADER's topic in In-Progress Pics
It is already looking cool! I was THIS close to buy an AC-130J on friday for the christmas holidays (after barely finishing my MC-130H), mainly because of your build here. HAJO -
Nice restauration! HAJO

Uargh, you are right!!! Sorry! I somehow confused it! HAJO

It was a long working day and I screwed up a bit... 😄 HAJO

Exactly, thank you very much! On the port side only two front cabin windows in a row apparently...? HAJO

It's not completely on topic, but.... I'm currently working on an Italeri MC-130E to convert it into a MC-130H Talon II, using the Flightpath set. (The idea is to use the "E"-parts of the Italeri-kit for a Zvesda C-130 to turn into an Talon I). Now my question: Which windows of the Talon II are blanked out? The "E"-instructions from Italeri mention a couple of blanked out windows in the aft of the cabin, but Iḿ not sure if that applies to the "H" as well. HAJO

Did anyone order from this shop recently? What are your experiences? HAJO

I´m curious if the soft plastic develops some nasty behaviour over time like rubber tires? I heard about rubber tracks or tires on models that "breath out" the softener which then leads to issues with the surrounding plastic like rims or track wheels. HAJO
