  1. A nice looking Raptor! HAJO
  2. It definetly looks like it is! Wonderful model you did here! HAJO
  3. It´s the forum here. You need to click on your picture, get the direct address and post it here without any html-coding like [img] and so on... HAJO
  4. Sounds great! Please research some german stuff... 😉 HAJO
  5. You are welcome! My WIP is here: Looking forward to see your build! HAJO
  6. I found a Gallery-entry here: http://www.arcair.com/Gal15/14601-14700/gal14660-A-400-Hakim/00.shtm And a WIP of a german modeller who built the kit-prototype. Apparently the gear is a bit sensitive, and he recommends to build the gear as last item. http://www.ipmsdeutschland.de/Flugzeuge/Wiegmann/Rev_A400M_Prototyp/Rev_A400M_72.html HAJO
  7. Looking forward to see these models finished! But after having done the Super Frelon, a Learjet 35 and the Pibber I am a bit hesitant to work on more Mach2 "products". 😉 HAJO
  8. Thank you! I already finished the model, don´t know if you´ve seen it yet? HAJO
  9. Did you ever build one the Mach2-kits? 😉 HAJO
  10. Some may have heard that the German Bundeswehr is planning to aquire new cargo helicopters to replace our aging CH-53s. The project name is "STH" - Schwerer Transporthubschrauber (Heavy Transporthelicopter) and we planned to be smart: To avoid spending a fortune on development of something completely new, it was agreed to buy "Military off the Shelf" by looking at offers from Sikorsky with the CH-53K and Boeing with it´s CH-47F. Well.... As you may already know, this didn´t went as planned. Because one of the major demands for procuring one of the above mentioned produ
  11. Please excuse my "radio silence", but I was on vacation. Also, there was only little left on the model, namely the main-rotor and the auilliary tanks. But this means: Finished! 🙂 Even though the kit is roughly 40 years old, I still dig it! I have to admit that many interiour details can´t be seen anymore... But at least the gunner is visible! Surface detail of the old Airfix-kit is still great, I think. And with a different coloured background
  12. You need to post the direct link only, without the BBC-tags. HAJO
  13. I´m thinking about doing a "what if?" by modelling a German Air Force Chinook. As you may know, we want to replace our aging CH-53Gs with either the Chinook or the CH-53K. Latest news of this project was that it´s too expensive and therefor had been stopped... (so much for our idea of buying "Military of the shelf" to control the costs... Apparently someone didn´t do his math homework here, again. 🙄) I *think* the Boeing offer was the CH-47F-version, anyone able to put me into some outer details? I was thinking about using a MH-47G-kit (1/72 scale of course) as base, but with the s

  15. I'm relatively happy with the final coat of matt: I used Revells Acrylic matt, which tends to produce tiny little white spots. I was able to paint until I reached the front part of the model, where those white spots started appearing (although I had changed the brush a couple of minutes earlier to a fresh one). Therefor I let out the doghouse and the underside, but the main idea to blend in the decals went as planned. Then I continued with the rotorblades. Usually I never f*** with those, as I feel that they are quite sensitive to bending and stuff, so the
  16. No worries for me, I'd love to have something from the timeframe between 1966 and 1972. HAJO
  17. I wonder if they kept all markings etc. on these birds after they left SEA. The Airfix-kit (I have two, one of them nearly finished as a MH-53J) comes with the "5785" tailnumber, but according to the "Pave Cave", that bird was not one of the "APPLES". HAJO
  18. Yeah, sorry, I should have mentioned that I wasn´t just only talking about the South East Asian camo-scheme, but an aircraft from that war. HAJO
