    P-2 Neptun Conversion

Fortunately I needed only 1 minute to find it. I don´t remember where I got it from.... HAJO

    P-2 Neptun Conversion

Here is a picture of the 40mm: Courtesy of www.vah21.org I also have a better picture of the belly but don´t know where, if someone is interested, I´ll start searching... HAJO
  4. Well, it might sound patriotic but I do really like the camo of the german navy Seakings: HAJO

    P-2 Neptun Conversion

Damn, all this talking about P-2s makes me wanna rob my stash and take out the last P-2 I have to scratch it into one of these: HAJO

    P-2 Neptun Conversion

That strange camo was the main reason I built the model. I fell in love with the AP-2H years ago when I saw a picture of the original aircraft in a magazine. Years later, when RoG issued the 1/72 Neptune, I immediatley bought the kit and started my first scratch-build. I´d love to see other finished AP-2Hs soon... ;) HAJO

    P-2 Neptun Conversion

Out of curiosity I think I will watch this thread... I made an AP-2H out of scratch once myself: http://www.modellversium.de/galerie/artikel.php?id=1909 HAJO
  8. @Sebastian: Have a look at these threads: http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index....29&hl=HH-47 http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index....61&hl=HH-47 HAJO
  9. Well, on the model the other side (left side) has no such hole... HAJO
  10. Ok, this is the status so far. You can´t see it now, but I made the rotor-mast a bit longer with plastic rod. Now I can glue the mast-sight on it while the rotor itself can remain "functional". I wondered about this huge gap in the right side: Any idea what it is for? HAJO
  11. I used Revell Bronzegrün 65 for the darker green and Humbrol 117 for the brighter one. The "black" is a mixture of mostly Revell Anthrazit 9, some Humbrol 105 and a bit of Revell black 6. Looking quite now, I will take pictures later.... BTW: Already got a second kit of it for my australian version. HAJO
  12. Yes, these are the original kit-decals, I found some of them a little bit thick, especially the more colourful ones like the winged stars. While the black stripes reacted good to Mr. Mark Softer, these others were a bit difficult... HAJO
  13. Psssstt, father´s usualy don´t like it if someone calls their daughter like this.... Nice model, sure a lot of fun. HAJO
  14. Wonderful light outside was the perfect occasion to picture my Academy SB-17G Kit went together quite well, I scratched some cockpit and navigator-compartment details which are unfortunately not visible anymore... But I know they´re there. <_< Only problem with the kit was that I referred to the box-picture when painting it and didn´t realized that the instruction sheet and the decal options only allowed to paint the top of the aircraft in yellow. So I had no black-stripe decals left for the underside, but that´s the spare-box is for... I also tried a little experiment, you can see it on the wings: I used kitchen-foil to cover the flaps, I´m quite satisfied with the outcome. Overall a really nice bird, very colourful, and that´s the only reason why my girlfriend allows me to place it in our living-room... :) Any questions are welcome... HAJO
  15. Just before a thunderstorm broke out we had wonderful light outside and I took my finished HH-60 out for some pictures. Here are the results: HAJO
  16. I´m just working on the excellent Revell 1/72 Tiger UHT (I will definetely buy another one for an Aussie-version) and wonder if it´s correct that I have to paint two different shades of green. Any knowledge? HAJO
  17. Yes, I used an old Q-tip for this one, I need to use some smaller muzzles, but don´t know where to look for them or how to scratch them... (Maybe I just pretend that it´s a new Mini-Gun-Silencer for AFSOC... :) ) HAJO
  18. I sent him an email, but no response so far... OK; the helo is nearly finished, just some little parts missing (IR-jammer, right cargo-door) and some spots need to be painted. Closer: I like how the gunners came out, they really appear like scanning the ground for any targets. PJ and right gunner: Also very nice: The chaff-/flare-launchers: HAJO
  19. Sorry, no help from me, but I´m very curious: What kit are you going to use for your build? I scratched a AP-2H using the RoG P-2 some years ago. HAJO
  20. Yep, the SGA DC-10 is very nice, I fly the -30 in Lufthansa-colours when I´m doing some flightsimming. HAJO
  21. Rgr, I will contact him. HAJO
  22. In case you don´t have someone who is able to do photoetched parts in your region (I´m from germany), I will ask him. HAJO
  23. Interesting... a german border police Puma in the background on the second picture. HAJO
  24. For overall amusement I´m showing some pictures of my actual project, a HH-60 of the USAF. This one will complete my collection of CSAR-birds I´ve already done (MH-53 and HH-47). I decided to built the weather-radar from scratch, I think it had been a Harpoon-missile warhead before the conversion. The pilots are not the best, the gunners will be much better. I made a quite simple FRIES-system, the cargo space will be occupied later by a single PJ and some stuff like backpacks and a stretcher. The small "stubwings" had to be scratched using the original cut-off wings (I´m using the Italeri MH-60K kit) and some filler. The ammo-boxes are left-over from the Dragon 1/35 pilot/gunner-set and should have been used as ammoboxes for the 1/35 M-60. The look also good as boxes in 1/72... I also included a additional fuel tank in the back. These tiny little things are really awesome: Our hobby-club president made them for me, I hope they make excellent chaff/flare-launcher front-ends. HAJO
  25. F***, IE crashed after a longer answer.... Short one: Miniguns: Don´t you have several AC-130s? Rob the U-version, it doesn´t need 7.62mm Miniguns. 0.50s: Ask you local hobby shop for Roco Minitank Set 442 Seen "in action" here: Alternative: Dragon Humvees 0.50s (two per kit, be sure to get a kit that contains them, ask me if you need more info) "In action": HAJO
