  1. My holiday project arrived: The Airfix 1/72 Blackburn Buccaneer S.2B. My question now is: What weapons fit into the internal weapons bay? To be fair: I will most likely do a sort of "what if"-version (Cold War gone hot somewhere up north in Norway), depicting the aircraft in snow camoflage, so there is a good chance that I may use more than some artistic licence when putting stuff into the weapons bay. However, the more "realistic" it will be, the more fun for me. And of course I want to exclude any form of complete nonsense... Thanks! HAJO
  2. Doesn´t the Italeri SH-3 comes with "66"-decals?? HAJO
  3. Sorry to add some confusion (propably)... I think you can see the rails on the last picture of this post here: They are outside the cargo ramp, on the part that opens up into the cargo bay. HAJO
  4. Hopefully the name is "Tempelhof" (e behind the p), since that is the correct german spelling. 😉 HAJO
  5. VERY nice! I just read "ultra matt"? I think I need that, what brand? HAJO
  6. Very nice done, even though it`s neither a Phantom nor in 1/48 scale... 😉 HAJO
  7. I have only brush-painting experience. It worked well, because I had a matt coat of white as base. And it propably is a better idea to use matt orange for brush painting too. If you paint gloss coat, the new layer will not really "stick" to the first layer, resulting in some parts having much more color coating than others which have nearly none. @Andy: Those parts could propably be replicated by using paper. All you´ll be missing are some rivets. HAJO
  8. @andyf117, I did a kit-review in a german forum, but you can see the PE-parts. So, yes, I got that parts in my box. http://modellboard.net/index.php/topic,62127.0.html @Rotorman I brush-painted the orange. A friend of mine airbrushed the white base, and I later finished up with the brush-coat. HAJO
  9. It´s propably only a tiny bit of information, but we already had a similar thread some years ago...: HAJO
  10. Looking very good, but isn´t the number on the sail a bit too big? HAJO
  11. My latest creation is the very well done short-run-kit by Sova-M of the well known Lear 35. It´s my second Lear 35, I once did one by Mach2 - but later more about that. The Lear is very well known as business jet, but also used for target towing and aggressor duties. One of the companies doing this is "Phoenix Air", which is modelled here. Sova-M models are well known as good quality short-run, and this is no exception. All parts have to be identified using the parts location on the instructions, but this is a manageable task.
  12. That would be great indeed! Let´s see what they come up with! HAJO
  13. My guess would be they don´t. It´s a re-issue of the "old" kit (which is still good if I remember correctly). HAJO
  14. Very nice result! I think you also used some aftermarket decals, as I have never seen these "olive" decals in the Italeri nor Revell boxing of the kit. HAJO
  15. I liked the podcast as well. I was extremely humbled when Hughes replied to my Loach-WIP here on ARC: HAJO
  16. Would be nice if that set would be re-released or someone else would do a similar sheet. Because I´m interested as well... HAJO
  17. Got my first shot of Astrazeneca yesterday. Beeing in the mid-40ies and having no "special priority", I think I got it because of Astras bad reputation here in Germany... My arm was a bit sore (the classical "I got a shot in the arm"-feeling) and in the evening I felt really tired and wasted. Had a not so good night, with some headaches. Woke up this morning, dropped in a painkiller and slept another three additional hours until 9 (had to attend a VTC at 10). Now I´m feeling good, don´t know if the painkiller is still doing it´s thing. HAJO
  18. Hey Tracy, of course I am! 🙂 HAJO
  19. If I put down some sheets of newspaper in my garden, can I call that an "heli-pad", too? 😉 No, seriously, that doesn´t look like it would stand any helicopter at all. HAJO
  20. www.modellversium.de seems to be alive again! HAJO
  21. Isn´t that some sort of copyright-violation by the US Navy then?? 😉 HAJO
  22. I´m not sure what the status is of Scale Rotors (they haven´t updated their content for years, or did they...???), but I´m in contact with one of the modellversium.de guys. He wrote that they have trouble re-booting their server, but they are trying to get it back online. I have no idea what that means technically... Looking also forward to have modellversium online again, I just sent them a couple of gallery-entries! HAJO
